McDonald's — Restaurant in Scotland

It’s taken me at least 5 terrible experiences before I’ve written this review. I stupidly continue to give them another chance and write the experiences off as a bad day but at this point, it’s a complete joke and I’ll never be visiting or ordering from here again. Most recent experience, I ordered 2 happy meals for my 2 of my kids lunch as a treat as they’re at home unwell. Upon receiving them, BOTH were missing the fries and tomato sauce and one was missing a drink therefore, one of the Happy Meals was just 4 chicken nuggets. How does that even make it out the kitchen? I can accept the missing sauces and straws but how are they sending out half made meals? Every single time I’ve ordered there’s been at least one thing missing without exception.

My 1 experience visiting the restaurant in person was equally as bad. Spent a long time sitting at one of the drive thru speakers waiting on someone to take an order whilst the queue at the other speaker is moving through quickly. I counted at least 6 cars on the other side moving through before anyone came to my speaker. Finally got the order taken and was then told to park up and wait which was fine. Waited 10 whole minutes for them to bring out HALF the order. Continued waiting for the rest that never came. The place they get you to park makes it impossible to just get out and go ask for it due to a barrier plus I had 3 small children in the car. I tried phoning and no one answered so after an additional 10 minutes of waiting I had to go park elsewhere and take 3 young kids in to the restaurant and queue to get the rest of my order which completed defeated the point of going through the drive thru. They had to make the rest meaning it wasn’t even sitting waiting to be taken out. No one even apologised. All in all it took 40 minutes just to get 3 happy meals

I never ever complain. I’ve worked in hospitality and retail my entire life so I know what it’s like and how easy it is to make a mistake hence why I’ve given them so many chances but it’s now just a complete joke, I’ve never in my life experienced a service that’s been so...

Went in tonight for a quick meal, waited 20 minutes for a couple burgers and drinks, staff are never genuinely pleasant, everyone's on the teams young I understand that but the lack of team structure was evident as there have been a few times I have had problems with my orders at this mcdonalds. They gave me the wrong flavour of milkshake and when I went to ask to change it I stood for almost 10 minutes with staff looking over at me and walking past me ignoring me. One boy who walked past me a couple times asked if "I had been seen to" which I replied "yeah thanks" and he then walked to his supervisor and murmured something to which the supervisor looked at me and giggled. Not a great look and questionable behaviour from the supervisor. I was also given the saltiest chips ever, we overheard a colleague making a comment about how much salt his colleague put on the chips and then they proceeded to give me them to us anyway. Every second table was covered in rubbish too, terrible service without a smile, no attention to seating area hygeine or quality of the food as the replacement chips I got were quite undercooked and soggy but by that point I just gave up. Massive changes will need to be made if this place is to succeed but until then I do not recommend this McDonald's...

This place is wild and should really be shut down. Ordered via the app. Arrived at the drive thru speaker and sat for 5 minutes. There was no queue at the drive thru windows, so I assume everyone was away for a mid morning nap. Eventually a sleepy member of staff took my order code and I proceeded to the collection window. When I got to the window I was asked what my order was- twice, before being asked to park at the next window. I sat for 10 mins whilst armies of people drove past with their own orders. Finally,.my order arrived but I spotted the orange juice which i hadn't ordered. They had got it wrong again. A few minutes later my order arrived, I checked the content which seemed to be fine and I drove away, trying to put the fact that they had made a rip roaring Jeremy Hunt of another visit which is becoming the norm. However, there was one more surprise when I got home. Both muffins looked like they had been fished out of a bonfire. They were absolutely torched and inedible. Tried to complain through the app which doesn't seem to have the option. This branch are operating under the McDonalds name. I'm only looking for them to get that basics right. This mob should be kicked...
