Staff literally standing about lost looking, staring at the celing food building up and absolutely no one packing the bags
I had to tell them after 20min if my food is in that troff. Can u start bagging it before its freezing
At that point, the manager started packing 1 bag and left, which was for the drive threw 10 min later my number was shouted and a staff member told me my chips were in a different bag as he handed me it. The bag was open and as I looked inside I said really, he replied, "Yeah", your chips are in the bag And I replied they sure are, my chip pkts were all on there side all chips were out and laying in the bag so I told them I'm not acceptable I want fresh chips he stormed off and flung them in the bin full force At this point I'm now checking the rest of my order... My daughters chic nugs were freezing and 1 box short The next item I checked was my double quarter pounder no cheese no pickle and no onion had all of the above At this point I'm in the shop nearly 1 hour wrong order and freezing food so the got told this is completely unacceptable I want my whole order made again Staff were very abrupt huffy and doing absolutely nothing the only guys actually doing anything were the guys cooking but of course as above there not even making things correctly food is overflowing and customers were getting absolutely frustrated I even had the delivery guys approach me and tell me well done as they are like this every night and there is nothing they can do about it and they are the ones getting blamed for the cold delivery

Read moreI am a regular at this McDonalds and I always go round the DT. I understand that the customer service is not excellent at any McDonalds, and that the accuracy and speed of the orders makes up for the OK service. However, the employees, in particular -James -who works here is the reason I return to this branch. He is extremely polite, friendly and genuine - which is never heard of at any McDonalds I visit across Glasgow. Instead of the “what can I get you” and the typical lack of manners you are faced with at most drive-thru’s, James is the complete opposite.
I am a manager in hospitality and I feel that this employee should be recognised (if he is not already), for showing excellent customer service, which comes so naturally, and these days is very difficult to find. I have stopped visiting other branches of Mcdonalds because the service is so poor. Yes, a multi million pound company might not care if I come back to one restaurant, however, i will continue to return to Rutherglen because I feel like a valued customer and not just an inconvenience.
I hope this reaches James, I would be very proud to have an employee like this...
Read moreIt's a McDonald's, there isn't much more to say. Fast food, which tastes OK and doesn't cost the Earth.
To be fair, there is a big difference between a good McDonald's; where the staff are friendly, the service is fast, the food looks/tastes decent and bad McDonald's, where the staff act like zombies, the service is so slow they might as well be zombies and the food looks like it might be made of zombies.
This McDonald's is definitely a good one. The service is always reasonably fast, the quality pretty good and the place is generally kept clean.
Drive though is nice and fast as well, again not something all McDonald's share in comon.
Im not 100% sure, but I think this one is 24/7.
The only downside is the car park is a bit small, but there is a KFC next door, a Starbucks and Subway 30sec away and a big Tesco 45sec away, so even if the car park is full there is no shortage of places to park.
It's also just 2 min from the M74 so easy-ish to get to from the...
