Mclaren's The Bakers — Restaurant in Scotland

Travelling north towards Aberdeen we made a very small detour to find McLaren Bakers - Do it when you're travelling this way it is well worth the experience!!

The Forfar Bridies are a major speciality and this seems to be a natural place to find them. Hot from the oven they are a real treat and they should have a geographical protection. Choice of small, medium and large - we bought mediums and they are deliciously filling for a good appetite.

Although we took the detour for the Bridies we also bought a couple of pastries whilst there, they are delicious also and we will be stopping by again on the way back to England....

When you visit Forfar you MUST sample a Forfar Bridie. They are a wonderful dining experience. What a shame for vegetarians who won't get the marvellous taste. Nowhere does a Forfar Bridie better than McLarens. And they don't charge extra for heating it up, before it heats you up. So when in Forfar, make sure you have a Forfar Bridie from McLarens. Yum!!
