Visited Mozza this evening having been before. Downstairs was full so we were escorted upstairs by a very polite waiter.

It appeared to be very busy downstairs and they were expecting a large group arriving upstairs. Nevertheless our waiter was swift, attentive and hard working. He took our order and our drinks arrived promptly. When our pizzas came they were missing the sausage. He recognised this immediately and returned it to the kitchen where there appeared to be some agitated cooks and tensions were rising (you can hear everything in an open plan kitchen area ). Pizzas returned and food was good.

Our daughter didn't get ice cream as there was none available even although this was part of the deal. This was raised at the point of payment where the incredibly stressed waitress altered our bill accordingly.

However our dining experience shall not be repeated at Mozza. What we observed tonight were two staff drowning in orders and having the life sucked out of them by a company who clearly are not employing enough staff for the amount of covers available. The cooks were rude to the waiter and could be heard grumbling about practically every order the received. The manager spent most of her time sitting at the take away order point at the door and not supporting her team at all. One of the cooks kept putting on his leather jacket and walking out, perhaps wishing he could leave or maybe just going for a smoke...who knows. Regardless, these sights should not be observed in a restaurant.

Huge respect to the waiter and the girl behind the bar who were working so hard to ensure everyone...

We had booked a table 6 weeks ago and had a digital reminder but no table was reserved. We were asked our order but no drink order was offered or taken. We had to ask separately for drinks. Waitresses didn't smile. Glasses were dirty. We had to remind about parts of our order that were forgotten about after serving when we realised they weren't coming back. The pizzas were doughy and charred around the edges and the bases were so thin, they were like crepes. They weren't even strong enough to cut or hold. A waitress was clearing plates away before we had all finished our food and tried to take my drink away before I had finished it (with a quarter still left in it). We ordered a dessert but after a lot of whispering and looks between waiting staff and chefs we figured out they had run out of desserts but instead of being honest and saying that, they made a makeshift tiramasu, with cream and hard biscuits in a glass jar and cheesecake was broken up biscuit in a jar with two inches of soft cream cheese and sugar. Very disappointing service and food. Won't be back or recommend. Update : my son got food poisoning from this meal and ended up missing two prelims from being really unwell. He's been unwell for 4 days vomitting and really upset stomache. I phoned to speak to the manager and spoke to Gabriela, who was so incredibly rude, dismissive, unprofessional and took no responsibility! I have never spoken to a manager that is so rude! Absolutely disgraceful customer service!!!! WE WILL...

My wife and I came to St. Andrews yesterday for one day only to visit some friends and we had a limited amount of time. We were recommended to come to Mozza for a nice tasty and quick lunch. To our disappointment, we waited over 30 minutes for a waitress to come to our table. After the waitress finally took our order we waited another 45 minutes without receiving any drinks or food and with no explanation. I politely went up to the waitress and asked how long it would be until we recieved drinks or food. She just gave me a blank stare and said she didnt know and walked away. We waited another 10 minutes without receiving anything and then decided to leave as we did not want to waste our only day in St. Andrews. In the end we waited well over 1 hour without recieving a single drink, a single item of food, or any apology or explanation from a staff member. On the way out I spoke with a lady downstairs who appeared to be the supervisor. I politely explained the situation to her and she offered no apology. She basically just said we were free to go. We were very disappointed as we had heard good things about Mozza and did not get to experience the food and we were also upset that our time was...

I'm a true Neapolitan, and if you're seeking the authentic pizza of Naples, where pizza was born, this is the perfect place. Most importantly, the workers here craft pizza with passion and love. I spoke with the staff, and they meticulously attend to every detail to deliver the perfect Neapolitan pizza. Perhaps in Naples, this pizzeria could easily be among the best without any doubt. This pizza is truly on another level compared to others. Furthermore, I tried the Margherita, Marinara, and Salsiccia e Friarielli pizzas on both occasions I visited, and each time they were impeccable in service, quality, and remarkably affordable compared to UK standards. Additionally, I highly recommend their homemade pesto sauce and tiramisu, both of which are absolute masterpieces.

We discovered this pizzeria when briefly trying to explore the area on the way back to Edinburgh and as this was one of a very few places that was still open in the late evening and suited our tastes, we decided to try it out. The interiors are stylish and laid back and the menu is straight to the point. We absolutely loved the dough on both our pizzas and the size is very generous. If I'm there again, I would try out the bruschettas and burratta as well as they sounded delicious. The service was fast at this time of the day, but I imagine this place might be busy at lunchtime. Loved that Mozza offers the choice to take the leftovers with you (at a small charge for the box), not that we had anything left. A definite gem to come back to if we're in the area again!

Pizza 302 said salami & chorizo as you can see from the picture there is no chorizo so i asked the waiter who stared blankly at my partners plate. Another waitresses from behind the bar shouted over saying it was chorizo crumb. Whatever it was there was no chorizo. My pizza 11 was absolutely covered in rocket and i had to take some of it off only to reveal hardly any topping and there was certainly no figs. As you can see from the picture it was mostly dough. What is shown in the pictures is what we left. I told the waiter we did not enjoy our food and they were not what was described on the menu. He said ok I'll tell the chef but we still had to pay £28. Absolutely shocking. Photos are on trip advisor as unable to load on Google review.
