Read moreGone downhill. I have edited my previous 5* review due to my most recent experience. Firstly I attended The Rule on 20/08/2022 to watch the boxing. The first problem arose when we arrived - the table we had "booked" didn't exist - we were "booked in" but no table assigned - what good is that to man nor beast? Secondly it took me over 15 minutes (whilst standing actually at the bar!) to be served - 1 guy got served left, drank, came back to the bar and was served again before me! - there were more than enough bar staff on at the time but for some reason I was invisible. If it wasn't for another punter telling the bar staff I was next, who knows, I might still be waiting. Thirdly - Go to the mens toilet. I went to wash my hands to find out there was no option of soap to use unless I wanted to be coerced into having to pay ( My friend ended up paying £4 for soap!!) for something that is supposed to be there! At some point the owners of the bar decided to have essentially employ/allow someone to take advantage of people in a toilet. I am disappointed in how the bar has become - it...
Read moreAfter over half an hour of waiting for the food, I decided to check with the waiter how long it was going to take to get a food. He said it was around 45 minutes time for all the orders. Since it meant we should get our food in a quarter, we stayed and waited. 20 minutes after we decided to check again and guess what, we were told it was going to be another half an hour. Apparently at that point there were some people who were waiting over 1h 20 min! We ended up getting refund for the food and leaving. Clearly they are short staff at kitchen which is so strange given there were a lot of waiters. The place did not even look busy, there were a lot of empty tables. If they had some issues with the kitchen, they should have warned the customers while placing orders and there was no information given. The waiters kept walking the place empty handed. The place was also a mess with dirty napkins and food remainings lying on the floor. We use the chain quote ofen but that one is by far the worst we have ever been to. I wish I could...
