Nando's Dundee - Camperdown — Restaurant in Scotland

The food is great, however the staff definitely need a bit more training. I love the informal friendly service and atmosphere in nando's, however! Please do not serve the main meal when everyone is only half way through their starters. We politely asked if they could wait until we have finished our starters, then not even 2 minutes later they brought the main again! So again we asked to wait until we have finished our starters, the waitress (whether knowingly or not) gave a funny look as if to say 'well that's weird'. But we let that slide. Then the icing on the cake was when they started clearing the table when not everyone was finished! If you are going to do that while someone is still eating, be polite, and ask if it's okay to start clearing the table! Don't just start reaching over and clearing around the person still eating. These are the basics... please train your staff better!

We have been given a voucher for the lack of basic service, which was very appreciated. Hence 2 stars and not 1. I will change my rating after the next vist, which I'm sure will be...

I don't get it, why is there such a hype around nandos?!? My partner and I went as we'd not been there in years and we won't be back ever unless we want to waste money on not great food 🤢 we shared three starters, the best being the sweet potato wedges one but when it came to the mains I had a sunset burger of which the sauce tasted more lemon and herby than the chicken?? Thought the chicken was meant to be the star here? Thankfully my chicken was not overcooked unlike my partners but like, the sauces... now I know I like spicy food... but these med/hot sauces are just spice with no flavour. The best thing on my plate was the rainbow coleslaw which is poor considering nandos is meant to be about the chicken... if you want my advice? Save some money and go to KFC... or go hom and make better...

The waitresses were not keen to see people, they should be taught the science of serving people. They were just throwing the food on the table like they didn’t care. Either lack of guidance or a lack of will to work was behind this. Food was good as we all know Nando’s ways, just that the service time was so long. It took them around 20 mins to give away simple dessert with ice cream which should take minutes and the waitress threw that in table. They should be taught the politeness needed for serving food. I like to tip for the hard work most of the time but there were none. I hope the brand like Nando’s should look into this. Brilliant food, interior but...
