Food was amazing! As was the service throughout the meal. However the experience when it came to settling our bill was dreadful. We were 2 households out for food i paid cash, handed over £80 and told the girl to take £65 this allowed for a tip my brother paid the rest of the bill with his card rounding up for a tip. The girl took the cash to the till only 2 meters from our table, chatted to another member of staff then walked away. I called her back asking for my change, she then tells me you have no change you were £3 short I said no I gave you £80 I was expecting £15 change she then advises me that i only gave her £60, the staff member she was chatting to at the till can confirm this. I said to go get him then. The other staff member then comes over tells me that I've made the girl very upset, she's only 17 and that I was shouting at her, I wasn't. I ask him if after cashing up tonight could he call me as his till will be over. He point blank refuses to let that be an end to it. Continues to call me a liar, says his colleague would never lie about this and I must be wrong. I had £100 in my purse. I now have £20 in my purse and £80 i gave to the waitress £20 of which has disappeared off the face of the earth.

It's only £15 but the way i was treated and spoken to and in front of my children was absolutly shocking. I thought I was being reasonable in asking for a call once cashing up was completed at the end of service....

Edit: I took my family to lunch on the 29th of August and noticed a plummet in the standards of the food.

The macaroni was Cleary microwave reheated and tasted no different from the Mcintosh macaroni ready meal from the Co-op! Very different from the 'Oven baked in a three cheese sauce' dish advertised on their menue. The calamari was rock solid and sat in a soaking puddle of condensation, again, likely from being reheated in the microwave.

My brother commented ' the best thing about the meal was the boundaberg ginger beer'. Frankly I was embarrassed because I always raved about the food and the service.

I raised my concern to a member of staff who looked at me awkwardly but still proceeded to charge me for the 2 servings of reheated macaronic and soggy calamari...

I've been here a couple of times on a work night out and even when busy the service and quality of food is up there! I've also had to make quick pit stops while working and they can knock out a wood fired pizza infront of you in less than 10 minutes! Staff are friendly and down to earth aswell. It doesn't break the bank either and sometimes they have a deal...

First off, the atmosphere is quite nice & homely; akin to a Frankie & Benny’s. The pizza is Neapolitan style; and quite tasty. The service however was pretty shockingly bad.

My partner’s cocktail was spilled on the table; and she wasn’t offered a fresh one (nor did they clean the spillage).

I was given a pint of tennents (instead of the shandy that I ordered). I had the pint replaced, but when the bill came I was charged for a full pint of tennents.

The waitress (presumably the manager) insisted that it was normal across hospitality to charge the same price for a pint as for a shandy. I know this to be untrue.

The staff seem to predominantly consist of 18-20 year olds; which suggests they want to pay their staff as little as possible. Bit of a red flag.

If just one of these mistakes had occurred, we would’ve been quite satisfied (I rarely feel compelled to leave a negative review); but the build-up of everything left a bad taste...

Recently ordered from Padrone's, I opted for home delivery and choose the Gluten Free Carbonara & the Tagliatelle del'amore. The quality of the food was good and I can not fault the chefs. The meal arrived 20 mins after the delivery time (just over an hour from placing the order). When it got to 8pm we checked up on the food and it said the meal had been delivered. The meal showed up about 10 minutes later, there was no apology from driver/or an update from the restaurant. For reference I live 0.6 miles away from the restaurant. The 2 meals including delivery cost just under £30, as pictured one tub is full and the other is just over halfway filled. Padrone's takeaway menu is pricey and very limited. Sadly this is the 3rd time that we have ordered from Padrone and it has been poor service each time. I would suggest dining in or collecting it yourself.

Lovely place on the sea front, came early evening around 4pm during the week and were only a handful of tables in use so service was very quick, shout out to the waitress who was really nice and funny* We ordered pizza and beer (because we’re real men) and after snaffling the lot we were glad we didn’t order starters or sides owning to the fact the pizza was so generous (maybe not real men after all). I should mention it was cooked to perfection and we made small grunts of pleasure and approving nods to one another around the table as we ate. The menu is vast so something for every pallet and with pizzas being numbered it saved me the embarrassment of attempting to pronounce the Italian words. *For clarity, “funny” haha not funny odd.

I have to say this place has a very authentic feel their pizzas are handmade and very yummy they make their pizzas in this beautiful oven it's a real Italian pizza place so if you're looking for authentic pizza then you got the right place the decor is lovely and very original but they have many other Italian dishes other than pizza as well and they also have a nice range of wines beers and soft drinks and they have incredible service they are very nice and they also have free WiFi so I would suggest checking the place out I think you have a great time.
