It's so nice that excellent pizza has come to the Ferry. The crust has perfect sourdough flavour and a slightly chewy texture, and their creatively named topping offerings are delish. They don't skimp on ingredients either. For lunch-time and smaller appetites, panuozzos are available at a sensible price. The salads we ordered were fresh and well proportioned. There's the usual range of non-alcoholic drinks, beers, and decent wine in individual size bottles. The restaurant is pleasantly casual with great gaming/superhero decorative theming. Word of advice: Try a smile and a hello next time! Staff atmosphere unwelcoming and cold. Walked in with my family after phoning up to be told “no bookings allowed”. That’s fine, as we continue to sit in staff simply starred at us and shrugged their shoulders like they couldn’t be bothered to have us as customers. We were told “we have loads to make so it will be some time”. Which is fine, (slightly strange as there was only 1 other table in) What wasn’t fine was the way they said it. Best pizza I have had in the UK, awesome friendly staff! As an Italian who comes from Naples I can say this pizza is the real deal. The ingredients they use and the preparation of the dough is perfect. I usually have the margherita, as I am more of a traditionalist and it is a pizza where you can't hide behind other complex flavours, but all the other pizzas I tried were amazing as well.
