AVOID AT ALL COSTS, OVERPRICED FOR THE PORTIONS POOR QUALITY AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IS FROZEN, INCLUDING THE BATTERED SAUSAGES AND BURGERS RIBS STEAKLETS FISH TO, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, I'M 56 AND HAVE TO SAY THIS IS THE WORSE FISH AND CHIPS EVER HAD.I ORDERED FISH AND CHIPS, BATTERED BURGER SUPPER AND DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER. THE FISH WAS A FROZEN BATTERED ONE KEPT BREAKING UP BECAUSE IT WAS FROZEN FISH BATTER WAS GLOOPY AND THICK NOT LIGHT AND CRISPY, THE BATTERED BURGER WAS A FROZEN BATTERED BURGER??? WHY??? YOUR A CHIP SHOP WHY ARE YOU BUYING IN RUBBISH PREBATTERED THICK BATTER ITEMS DO THEM FRESH WITH YOUR OWN LIGHT AIRY BATTER MOST PLACES GET THE SAUSAGES OR BURGERS IN FRONT OF YOU PUT THEM IN BATTER IN FRONT OF YOU THEN IN THE FRYER. YOU DONT EVEN HIDE THE FACT YOU JUST KEPT GOING IN THE BACK OR BEHIND THE COUNTER AND JUST PRODUCE A PRE BATTERED ITEM, EVEN MY BURGER BUN HAD TO BE MICROWAVED.... HAVE SOME PRIDE IN YOUR FOOD. WHEN I ORDERED THE DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER I EXPECTED A COUPLE OF GRIDLED BURGERS LIKE MOST PLACES BUT NO FROZEN BURGER THAT WERE OVER COOKED DUE TO BEING DEEP FRIED TO LONG ND AS HARD AS BULLETS, WAS ASKED IF I WANTED ALL THE SALAD SO SAID YES, ONE SLICE OF TOMATO AND ONE LETTUCE LEAF NOTHING ELSE. AND DONT EVEN GET ME ON THE CHIPS. REHEATED REFRIED, SO THEY TASTED STALE AND WERE HARD AND YOU COULD TASTE THE OLD GREASE ON THEM, ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE CHIPS EVER. AND SUCH A TINT PORTION TOO. CURRY SAUCE FOR A TEENY POT WAS £2 SAME FOR THE GRAVY, SHOCKING YOU CANT JUSTIFY THAT. 23 QUID I SPENT FOR THE WORSE I HAVE EVER EVER HAD. AVOID...

I purchased two fish and chips from this establishment earlier today. I drove away 3 miles to sit by the river and eat it. We then found that the batter was limp, rubbery,undercooked,complete with bones and greasy! I had no alternative but to take these two disgusting portions of fish and chips back to the shop. I was greeted by the obese manageress and I started to tell her my problem and she said "Come round the back so the other customers can't see and hear what you're complaining about" I showed her the batter and she said " It looks a bit soggy yes but it's ok for me, but then again I eat pretty much anything!" She then laughed and gave me a ten pound note. I told her that it cost me £15 and she said " Some of the fish and chips are missing" . I explained that we had to taste it. She laughed again. I said we will not be coming back and we will leave a review of it exactly what happened. To that she laughed again and said "Do what you want!" Shocking! Plus out of pocket by five pounds. Absolutely vile and disgusting...

The batter on the fish was more akin to pancake mixture

It was bright orange in colour and was like leather. Had to physically pull it off the fish.

The fish was poor too. Each individual flake broke as you worked with it which led us to believe they were cooking fish from FROZEN!! Something which any fish fryer worth his money never does.

The fish was also slimy ...... definitely cooked from frozen. We're not stupid mate. Some of us have worked in chippies ourselves..... its hardly a protected industry. 🙄

Then there's the white pudding.

Absolutely disgusting. Sooo heavy, stodgy, thick ...however you want to describe it.
