Courtyard Coffee Shop & Café — Restaurant in Scotland

I visited this coffee shop when they were busy, there was a couple in front of me who got a table, I continued queuing, then another couple came in behind me to wait for a table. After a good five minutes the waitress shouted across and said ‘a table for 2’, the two people behind me looked at me apologetically and took their table. Nothing was said to me as I continued to stand at the door. It has taken me a long time to go places on my own since my husband died so I ended up just leaving. Tried here for lunch today while visiting family, and really enjoyed. The staff were super helpful and friendly, allowing us to order quicker for our young son (who was hangry) and giving us adults more time to deliberate over the well stocked menu. Some specials of the day also available to consider. All food/drink came within a good time and was delicious. Fairly filling, and we were also spoilt for choice for dessert. Called in today for a late breakfast and had a roll and fried egg, as I do, although I also had black pudding with it as well. The black pudding was very good, a wee bit spicy like it should be, and the fried egg was near perfect, still runny enough to break out but not messy. The staff were friendly and whilst the decor was basic, it was perfectly fine, here for the food not the decor. Only one thing to note if you have a smaller Americano, it only has one shot, so if you like it strong, ask for an extra shot, but then wee like our Amerocanos strong. Excellent place, would...
