Great prices but the staff are overworked and I refuse to support a company who treats their staff this way. Multiple times I've been in the store and seen what appears to be managers giving colleagues, and sometimes even customers, cheek and abuse. Real shame, many of the staff, especially the young ones, are extremely friendly and helpful. Many of the older staff are grumpy and don't care about the customers at all. Don't shop here unless you want to support such a horrible workplace. Have a look on Indeed for Lidl reviews and you'll see what goes on behind the scenes.

I like the selection of Scottish goods sold here. I like to buy local and you definitely get that here. It's also good that packages are openly branded as Scottish so that as your browse the shelf you can see what hasn't had to travel far Only downside is that sometimes it can take a while for additional tills to open when a queue forms.

It's cheaper than the 3 main British food stores so that's why I shop here 😋

Despite the fact that the quality of products is inferior to that of other supermarkets, I come here every week as it helps me stretch my pension a bit further. However, I can safely say that I will be doing my shopping elsewhere from now on.

When I went shopping, I had to navigate past pallets and shop workers blocking aisles, which is very difficult as I’m not very steady on my feet. The shop workers seemed annoyed that I had inconvenienced them by wanting to do my shopping during opening hours. Then, when I got to the checkouts, I had to wait in a long line before getting served. This was annoying as I only had a few items and had other places to be. I was served by someone that made no eye contact and just scanned my items so fast that they might as well have thrown them at me! I placed my items back in my basket and was harrassed by a large fellow on the way out. Apparently, he didn’t trust me not to steal the basket on the way out. What use could I possibly have for a basket. The final straw was when he whistled to get my attention like I was a dog! Maybe he was right to do so, as you’d have to be barking mad...

Visiting my mother who lives in Rosemarkie, I had the misfortune of going to Lidl Dingwall on a few occasions; this is a filthy store which should be looked at by the local environmental health, and lidls area management. The store leaves floors filthy especially in corners and at skirting’s, and surfaces from the front door in. Their bakery they literally throw the cakes into the sections, many old mixed with the new with no way of telling, some iced and sticking to their positions. Cooked meat and uncooked meat sharing the same shelf or with uncooked above cooked, and this is not uncommon. Staff leaving stock on floors when stocking fridges, rotten veg left in position even after alerting the manager and having to return rotten goods. As for health and safety, pallet dogs (device used to move stock pallets) left across isles with boxes left on floors obstructing isles for the visually impaired. That and their moonscape car park entance makes going to the Alness store which is spotless and well run a 20 mile round trip worth it. Comparing this to the ones back home, the one I visit in Bordeaux seems...
