Siam Cuisine — Restaurant in Scotland

I rarely leave a bad review and hope it is regarded as constructive criticism. My partner and I ordered a takeaway including 2 mains and 1 starter to share. This came in around £50, which I feel is steep for a takeaway. Value for money is my biggest issue - my main meal contained only 2 king prawns. I’m not sure how you can serve what is meant to be a main meal with 2 prawns? For example the Indian along the road serves king prawns and you get between 6-8 and around 50% of the cost for a meal for two including starters and sides. Unfortunately I will not return, as we felt let down and was still hungry after...

What should have been a nice dinner turned into an ordeal.

I ordered a pad thai for collection. Before eating it, I called the restaurant to ask if they use prawns or shrimp (it's common for that sauces to contain these, but not always). I was told no, none at all. 5 minutes after my first fork full I was rushed to A&E Ninewells where I spent the next 9 hours. I had no issues in Bangkok, which leads me to think either they re-use the oil a lot to save money or there's cross contamination.

Had dinner for 2 booked last night and couldn't fault the place in the slightest. The service was excellent and the lady serving was happy to answer any questions we had about the food. The food itself was delicious, I had Stir fried chilli basil with chicken as I'd never tried it before and will definitely have it again. Flavourful and spicy 👍

Pricewise it was pretty much average but the food quality and service surpassed what we paid so...
