Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

Dreadful food. Refunds given to 3 out of the 4 of us there for lunch today 4th Dec. The food looked like slop out of the bottom of an old bin. The waitresses were embarrassed and promptly sorted out refunds for my three friends. I had only ordered some chips and a drink so was served first as the others had ordered meals. I had almost finished picking through the chips (they were hard in the middle) when the first meal arrived 'festive Macaroni cheese' which turned out to be white slop with lumps in it topped by 3 chipolatas wrapped in some bacon fat which looked uncooked and more like raw bacon fat which the bacon had escaped from... It was hideous and so began the request for a refund. We got that sorted and left for Morrisons where everyone had a love meal. I was so disappointed in Tesco. I have always shopped with them and this was a real let down. It is bad enough you have to order with touch screens - that was annoying. Then as we sat down some woman who was obviously an 'in charge' sort of person grabbed some seasonal decorations and went off to have a moan at the staff in the kitchen hatch managing to knock over a box and some stuff as she did so which she then kicked. Honestly not a jolly place at all...then...

My wife and I called in to the cafe this morning prior to shopping for breakfast, my wife ordered the Vegetarian breakfast and I the standard breakfast, even though there was very few people in the cafe we had to wait 20 mins for our food, when it arrived the beans had a skin on and the whole thing was cold, my wife’s Vegie sausage appeared not to be cooked and like mine the rest of the meal was cold. We complained about it and thankfully we were given a full...

Not the easiest access for a wheelchair user, as it's situated up steep stairs - thankfully there's a lift, but it's tricky to negotiate. Some aspects of the café need better thinking out for being made disabled-friendly for example things that are out of reach or difficult to get to. Staff friendly and helpful, very pleasant and courteous. The overall atmosphere was a little lacking in energy, though, and the place felt "tired", but maybe it...
