A Culinary Gem in Blairgowrie – Outstanding Food & Hospitality
We were lucky enough to enjoy a special occasion at The Causerie last night, and it exceeded all expectations.
Recommended by family, we were eager to try this new gastro destination in Blairgowrie, and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived, Fergus gave us a warm, genuine welcome and guided us through the evening with charm and attentiveness.
We chose a tasting selection of Monkfish Cheeks, Pork Tacos, and Venison. Each dish was outstanding, but the Venison was a standout – perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, smokey and packed with flavour. We also had the pleasure of meeting Pete, the owner and chef, whose passion and talent were evident in every bite.
A crisp South African Chenin Blanc rounded out the experience perfectly. We didn’t have room for dessert this time, but we’ll definitely be back to try the cakes and sweets.
An exceptional restaurant, offering high-end dining with heart and soul. Fergus and the team made it memorable – highly...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here on our North East Scotland tour to find the best Lorne roll. He was not disappointed. "This is the best lorne roll ever!" He exclaimed!!! 2 bits of lorne, from the butcher, on a lovely buttered, soft white roll, my mouth was watering looking at it. I got the soup of the day. It was Indian summer vegetable. It was very tasty, with chunks of vegetable and the broth wasnt too spicy, which was a bonus. The soup also came with a slice of soft brown bread, which was also buttered. Marks out of 10 for the lorne roll - gotta be a 10! I knew it would be no other mark Marks out of 10 for the soup - 10 We didn't sit in to eat, we sat in the car but on first impression the staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty seats both inside and outside. And dog friendly. Would come here...
Read moreIn the centre of Blairgowrie, this is a popular and very busy cafe. We were lucky to get a table reserved for an hour or so after we were there. The cafe is also a bit of a deli with lots of unusual food items for sale in well stocked shelves that are well presented to browse while having your coffee, tea or food. The service is quick and friendly. We were in for coffee time and both had the cheese scone with a drink. These were some of the cheesiest cheese scones we have had in a while, and they were light as anything. Oh Yum. The menu is comprehensive and it will be worth a return visit soon...
