Absolutely gutted tonight! We always book here for my daughter’s birthday and every year had great food great service and great drinks! Well not tonight! Booked a table for 8 of us for 4.30 to then get called at 4.15 asking why we haven’t showed up for might booking and if we don’t arrive soon table will be cancelled!!! After explaining we booked for 4.30 not 4! They said sorry it must be their mistake!! Yea mistaken1 of many this evening! We arrive to where my daughter orders her favourite cocktail Mojito..well what arrived looked nothing like a cocktail it was a drink in a glass with a few mint leaves shoved in it! And they ask nearly Ā£10!! Joke!!! Nothing like they used to do! We order our food! Streak pie for me and hubby, full size portion…well no I’m sorry I’d hate to see what your small size was like! Definitely not worth nearly Ā£16!! Pastry wasn’t flaky it’s was like suet 😩. Steak was lovely and the chips but very scarce on chips and carrots šŸ™ˆ. I’m sorry all in all it was a horrible experience and I for one won’t be back as not worth the money or my time šŸ™ˆ. I’ve had way better food elsewhere and better potions for less money! Oh and definitely not child friendly like they used to be! It’s okay to have adults shouting and screaming at football though and can’t even get thru the main bar...

Due to Dundee having a BIG SHOW,related to the opening of the V & A waterfront museum, finding accommodation in the city was difficult.

The Fort is actually in Brought Ferry,a suburb of Dundee, several miles east,or down river,of Dundee. I was offered a double room immediately. The staff were extremely helpful in making sure I felt right at home from the very beginning, without knowing that I was a Dundonian by birth. They explained everything I needed to know about their security measures in regard to the room; breakfast times between 7 - 10am,& other small factors,so I indeed feel right at home! The bed was cosy & warm, lighting controlled by switches beside the bed. Tea or coffee-making was clearly demonstrated to me,& very welcome since I am a tea addict! All the amenities were immaculately presented. I think they deserve a "five star" rating...

Lots of customers in at the same time as us, which meant the servers were stretched thin, and this caused a lot of waiting. Staff were friendly, but we could tell they were rushed. Once we got our food ordered, it took them an expected amount of time to prepare it.

The food was great, and everyone in our party had no complaints, both adults and children. I had the Mac & Cheese with Curly Fries & Onion Rings, which was great and roasting in temperature. They have a moderate drinks menu, with everything from beer to cocktails to soft drinks. Fizzy drinks are canned, which you pour into a provided glass with ice and a lemon slice.

It is great to see such a business booming with customers and its to be expected by the quality of the food and the prices of it. Another staff member when they're this busy would...

First visit to new beer garden with friends for lunch. Easy booking system, confirmed with an email. Friendly staff, track and trace, at entrance with gels to use. sat at table with swing seat. Ordered drinks and wrote our food selection on a sheet just tick the boxes at what you require. We had steak pie, fish n chips and baked potato with tuna, all freshly made and delicious. A slight drop of rain and the canopies above us were utilised, just before the heavens opened. Lights came on in ceiling and sides, making a luvly atmosphere listening to the rain. A very enjoyable lunch/ afternoon had by all. Will return. :)

Staff are great, very helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. In a c-19 environment they are definitely looking after the resident. Great value, good selection of lagers and the odd cask. Centre of town & five mins walk from the beach. I was lucky with parking but there’s plenty of street parking within easy reach. I didn’t eat here but it looked great. I even found live sport around the corner (see photo) Great place in a great ā€œsuperbā€ of Dundee.
