The Keys Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Wow! There is a reason this bar has won Best Bar in Scotland multiple times (currently the reigning champion). I am a traveler that, when visiting a new place, never wants to go into the same shop/pub/restaurant more than once because I want to experience as much as possible while I am in a new city. However, Keys took that idea and threw it out because they are THAT GOOD. I found myself back at Keys every single day of my trip. It was just so much fun. The staff is excellent. We got close with Andrew, Sasha, and Holly who introduced us to all of the must-try Scottish ales, lagers, and whiskys. Notably, my favorite ale was Key's Ale and my favorite scotch whiskey was Key's whisky. They clearly know the business they are in. But the best part is the patrons and the atmosphere. Great warm friendly wee atmospheric pub with friendly staff and a great selection of beverages. I'm sure they do good food too but it's never been my perogative up till now so I couldn't comment.

Some summer tables outside so you can enjoy yer wee drink in the warm St. Andrews sun...(well, warm sometimes!)

St Andrews is a mini cultural soup pot all year round but in the warm summer nights...the pubs locals blend in well with the swim from this cultural cauldron in this famous Golf and University town in Fife.

This became my friend and I’s go to during our visit to St Andrews. It’s very small, but has such a big heart. The staff are lovely, my friend and I got to know many of them by name during our visit. The selection of beers on tap is simple, but plentiful. The selection of whisky however is incredible, and reasonably priced too.

This pub has very quaint, working man’s vibe to it. Live sport, a dartboard and bar snacks available. You can hide away in the corner with a pint and crisps, or you can sit up at the bar blethering away. My friend and I both found the atmosphere very welcoming and relaxing.
