The Mad Batter Bakery & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Scotland

Well I've been having such a bad few weeks so I came to Edinburgh to visit my mum and step dad, and as a treat they took me to the mad batter bakery in Airdrie to try and cheer me up. We got there a little bit early and the staff could not have been more pleasant, they were so attentive and full of life. This was all before the food came and the only thing I can day about the food is OMG! Most places you go for afternoon tea give you a 3 tier cake holder and you all share but not here you get your own side of a wide slate cake holder where there are 6 sandwiches each 6 cake desserts and then a gorgeous chocolate and caramel mousse. Now all you have to do is take one look at me and you can tell I like food and I can honestly say I would go back every day if I could, it was so filling and anything you didn't eat you got to take home with you! Yesterday was our first visit to the cafe. I hate to only give 4 stars for the food as we haven’t had the pleasure to try out your menu mention, but I think an honest review is better, especially for the establishment. The soup was a nice sized portion, but we all agreed it was a little too salty, probably due to the ham, but we still enjoyed it. My granddaughter had a cupcake (presentation was great) but she said it was too sweet and couldn’t eat it and when I tasted it I also thought the same. My apologies for this review, but constructive criticism is beneficial to a business.
