KFC Coatbridge - Coatbank Street — Restaurant in Scotland

Several items out of stock. Soft drink lacked fizz. Chips were cold. Boneless chicken ok. SECOND VISIT 10 DAYS LATER: Because I was in the Coatbridge area again and also because I have had 2 substandard experiences at a near by McDonald’s I opted to visit KFC again. Experience was no better than my previous visit. There were no fizzy soft drinks available. No corn on the cob available. I therefore had boneless chicken and chips. The chicken portions were small but acceptable. To me they seemed over salty. Strange because in a franchise chain you would expect the food to look and taste the same at different locations and this stuff did not seem the same as I get from my local KFC at Great Western Retail Park in Glasgow. Anyway, chicken was acceptable but the chips were not; they were cold, soggy and soft… and this from a company which specifically redesigned their chips to make them better than rival chains. Poor show for KFC Coatbridge and for that matter it’s near competitor McD. I won’t be visiting either place again. PS the chips were flung out the car window… may be the birds will eat them. First of all it isn't cheap. Took my daughter. I waited 10mins to be served even though I was next to give my order. Lack of staff meant staff were pulling multiple duties. The sun was splitting the trees outside with temoretures of 17° and KFC had their damn heater on. (Their response was we can't turn it off) so sat furthest table away from the heater which wasn't any better as the scorching heat was blaring through the glass. Got the 8pc dipping boneless feast. It cost £14.99 when asked if I was sitting in or taking away they packaged the food to go even though we were sitting in. They never gave us any cups for our drinks and the juice was warm. We didn't get our dips either had to ask for them. They never provided us with any napkins to clean our greasy hands (thankfully) I had babywhipes in the buggy. I've given * because the chicken was actually nice but we weren't provided with the needed equipment to eat in. If there's a next time I will take down cutlery and plates to avoid disappointment but I won't be rushing for my next KFC experience...

EDIT* Just ordered from here again and once more disappointment. You can say more fool us but it has been a while and thought we would give them another chance. They got the order wrong this time. They may have been out of stock of certain items but nobody phoned to say "sorry its not in stock". Not only did they not do this but they tried to "replace" items with gravy and beans... 3 tubs of gravy going to waste and we didn't order the beans. Please look up natashas law and note that if the customer has not ordered an item then they cannot receive a replacement without acknowledging the allergens. Furthermore when attempting to rectify the situation they are not answering their phone. Not just missing the call, but blatantly no attempt to answer. So now we are hungry and disappointed. Again.

If the food was served hot rather than stale and verging on warm then it would be worth the money. But it wasn't. Ive always liked the food here but the last time my wife and I were there we were sorely disappointed by the lack of heat and how stale...
