I came in for dinner with a friend the other day, the food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and polite. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely.
I was a bit nervous as I have a gluten intolerance, but I phoned beforehand and the lady on the phone was more than helpful, and very knowledgeable about allergens and the menu in general - which always puts me to ease.
The young boy who was serving our table was the exact same with menu and allergen knowledge - which once again put me to ease. He even double checked with the kitchen for me, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort during our meal. The kitchen even made the onion rings with a gluten free batter for me, which I really appreciated. The steak, chips, peppercorn sauce, mushrooms, & onion rings were amazing.
The cocktails! They had a 3 for £20 deal on, which we didn’t have, but I found really reasonably priced. I had a cosmo and a frozen strawberry daiquiri, both of which were honestly amazing.
We also had a dessert after our meal, a sticky toffee pudding & a gluten free chocolate cake. Amazing!! Once again, the young boy who was serving our table was beyond attentive and double checked that my dessert would be gluten free.
I will definitely be back - the staff, the atmosphere, the cocktails, food, & allergen knowledge was exceptional.
Thank you for a...
Read moreUtterly terrible experience as it would appear quite a bit has changed since my last visit two years ago! Firstly, it is not possible to simply order a single course steak dinner as the menu is setup in such a way that you arenforced to purchase two courses, there is no Ala Carte menu and nothing is individually priced! This is not a deal breaker but at a non-Michelin starred restaurant, I expect to see pricing clear and present! I ordered a fillet steak (£29.99, most expensive in Paisley) medium and it appeared looking grey in colour, no sear or crust of any kind, zero seasoning, literally tasted of nothing. The cut of meat was not of restaurant quality and was a very strange shape, over done and looked and tasted like it had been cut off of the sole of someone's shoe! After I raised my concerns, I was advised that the chef disagreed with my points and that we would need to agree to disagree. What really annoyed me was the Manager (same unprofessional man from Cardosi main restaurant) made an attempt to insinuate that I made up all these issues about not just my steak but my wives too as I was annoyed at the menu forcing people to buy two courses!
I am unsure what has happened to this place but I will never visit here or Cadosis main...
Read moreVisited this restaurant last Friday evening and the place was quite busy My wife and I ordered from the Market menu, I chose flamed in whisky King prawn with a cream garlic and chili sauce for my starter there were no hint of whisky and the cream sauce was more like milk than cream and was lacking in flavour and for my main dish I had slow cooked Pork Belly with root veg, roasted apple in a mustard jus. The pork belly was rather tough and the root veg were just slightly warm as was the pork and the plate was cold the roasted apple was exactually very warm which made me think the meal was sitting waiting for the apple to be roasted I did manage to eat about half the meal and rather than complain at the time as my experience on occasions like this is that you have to sit for another 15 minutes awaiting a fresh meal, meanwhile your partner has about finished. When asked about the meal I passed on my comments to the waitress. I was given no apology and on leaving there was no goodbye or have a nice evening simply because I think they don't...
