40 years plus since I was last here. That was when I got barred, and quite right too. It's really not changed. Fantastic, traditional Scottish pub. Great barman, talkative customers, and I counted 16 different single malts behind the bar. If I stayed in the area, I would be in here all the time. Top class.

I felt really welcome here. It's got a lovely quiet atmosphere that's comfortable to drink in. I went for a real ale and left satisfied. I'll definitely be back. No food, as far as I am aware.

Visited 3 times while in the area for work and it was like I’d stepped in to my local. Staff and locals were incredibly friendly and chat was first class. Jamie and Danny(?) were 1st class hosts. Think it’s always a good sign when slightly abusive banter on both sides is readily accepted. Also got a gig invitation, which I sadly couldn’t accept as I was being sensible but much appreciated. Dog friendly too and you may get to meet the chatty local...

A note on grades, I rate outwards from three stars. *

We ducked into the Wheatsheaf to escape the rain on a quiet Monday afternoon in Falkirk. Great vibes and service in a much more authentic atmosphere than most modern pubs.

We had great conversations with the proprietor and other guests, enjoyed some ales, and noshed on some very welcome meat pies.

Vastly exceeded expectations -...

Great authentic Scottish pub. My dad, who was born in Falkirk took me here in 2017, which was my first "pub" experience in Scotland. I recently visited Falkirk with my wife and I took her to the pub when we arrived. The atmosphere is great, and I enjoyed it as much as my first visit. It's great to sit back, have a nice pint of beer, and take...
