BigBites — Restaurant in Sefton

Have tried it 3 times (to give benefit of any doubt) but after 3 attempts at getting a decent meal, it's safe to say this place is utterly disgusting.

Everything I've ever ordered has either been swimming in grease, or cold, or both. I won't go through all of the food I tried but it covered all the usual stuff. I'll include a some key things and what I found out after complaining:

Ordered a mixed kebab of 2 types of chicken and a kofte with salad. Kebab came cold, the naan so cold it had rigor mortis, and stuffed to the brim with donner meat, a chicken that had strange bitty texture, and another meat I simply could not identify, but it definitely wasn't chicken, nor was it kofte. Whatever it was, it was scorched, tough and chewy. Almost the entire thing went in the bin.

The salt and pepper chicken (which I ordered 2 times) was rock hard. The first order the chicken was so rubbery it was hard to actually chew through it. The chicken just bounced back like a dogs toy. The vegetables in the dish were paltry, perhaps a few tiny bits of pepper and onion. Nothing compared to salt and pepper chicken from a Chinese.

The second order of salt and pepper chicken was rock hard. I rang up and told them - the guy said that they accidentally gave me chicken which was cooked 3 times rather than twice. I asked what he meant and he said - the chicken is pre-cooked and is re-fried when someone orders it - I accidentally got some that had been pre-cooked then re-cooked then cooked again! Thanks! I'm so glad my thrice-cooked chicken was an accident and I was only supposed to get twice-cooked chicken. I don't think he meant to say that to me.

Salt and pepper chips swimming in oil. Ribs - don't even go there unless you enjoy greasy bones. Cheeseburger was actually ok.

I said to the guy I can't order from you anymore I'll go to one on South Road - to which hew told me: the same people own Henry's and Gourmet on South Road - so the food is the same whichever...

Unfortunately this Takeaway has trust issues with customers, Demanding you pay first when placing your order in person at the shop,, staff are certainly not friendly and ignorant, Looking at other reviews on here the poor quality of the food suggests the reason being you must pay first when ordering on the premises, staff prefer to demand you pay first before actually receiving and satisfied with your order, The customer first should be satisfied with what they see and the preparation of your order.when i challenged this and questioned why the member of staff abruptly become annoyed, immediately stopped my order and wanted call the police simply because i have the right to see if the food is of an Adequate standard and preparation was acceptable before payment taken,This is within your consumer rights, This Paticularly Takeaway deserves no star rating, staff are not friendly and rather ignorant.stay well clear, fortunately many other nice restaurants/Takeaway in the Waterloo to have a better choice for...

absolutely disgusting we ordered £34 worth of pizzae they arrived 2 hours and 10 minutes after the order was placed when i opened the boxes everything was ice cold and almost going stale i tried contacting just eat and they didnt want to help because we paid cash but there okay taking commission from that cash payment for there advertising of this horrendous food place anyway we tried over 15 times of my number to contact them they wouldn’t answer the phone then i used another family members they answered straight away soon as i mentioned my order they hung up the phone so they dont want to correct this and just eat are as worse as them closing chat logs as im explaining they cant just say no to helping because i paid cash . update the restaurant fixed this for us the mext day and allowed us to order new food that came fast and was lovely so i had to change the review as most places wouldnt do this and everyone has a bad day so thank you big bites for rectifying...
