A 360 pano image of the market area at Salt and Tar. The large area has been used for many reasons at various events. EFP Drone Footage was at Salt and Tar on June 27-28, as it was host to another successful weekend with the main focus centred on a group of local young entrepreneurs who were running their own market stalls at Salt and Tar for the teen market weekend. Tv camera crews for BBC's The One Show were on site on Saturday, July 27, to film the teen market. This is great news for everyone who has worked so hard to build something for the locals to enjoy. This area will be hosting another market on July 3 and 4, 2024, this time held by BlueBell Stalls. And in August this will become the place where people will dance the days away as Status Quo, Tom Jones, and Red Rum Club arrive on the 17th and 17th. The main stage will be on the Washington Parade end of the market area with the crowd facing the Docks and our amazing sunset. This 360 pano was taken at 21:15, after a red hot Sunday at Salt and Tar. The pano was created during blue hour, which is just after sunset, giving it this relaxing look.

I have wanted to visit Antony Gormly's wonderful sculptures on Crosby beach, for such a long time but I never came up this way until this week, to look after a friend's dogs. The installation entitled 'Another Place' is fabulous, magical, very thought provoking, I loved it. The statues are quite far apart. There are 100 in total. I couldn't see all of them as I have bad back pain and can't walk very far, but what I did see was just fantastic and well worth the wait. There are quite large car parks at either end of the beach but these fill quickly on summer days. The beach itself is approached down several steep steps and is not equipped for wheelchair users. It is sandy and great for families with young children. I don't know how safe it is to swim there, I didn't spot any red flags but the shallows would definitely be fine for paddling. Take a flask and sarnies, there were no nearby shops that I could see. There is a cafe somewhere, but too far from where I parked, to see it.

Beautiful day for a walk along the beach. Scenery is terrific both the natural and industrial. The iron man stand along the beach stretching to quite far out and it is quite haunting, ethereal and beautiful to see them there watching the world go by around them. It's very interesting to see how time and tide has enhanced and affected them, although I think that's part of the point. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed the beach too. Plenty of room to run around for children and dogs alike. The sand does give way to some very soft muddy sand a bit further out and it's advisable to read the information boards first about how far you should go out. Some people do venture further out to see the statues there but we were quite happy viewing those ones from a distance. Definitely something you should see at least once.

Crosby beach (next door) is the permanent home of Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' so gets quite a few visitors wishing to see that installation. There is good car parking which can get busy on sunny days. The site was clean without any appreciable litter. A busy little lake plays home to a sailing school which was in action when we were there. We walked through the park and over the sand dunes by way of the path to the beach and then looked at 'Another Place'. It is an impressive installation and certainly means different things to different people. Like most art it is necessary for someone to see it and form their own opinion rather than rely on someone else's description.

Beautiful, and well-looked after with nearby amenities. South Road nearby hosts a vast array of restaurants, fast food and various other shops. Close to the marina park is a coffee shop and an ice cream/food and drink stand. At the furthest end near the children's park, there is the Crosby marina club which features a gym, restaurant and access to water sports and activities. Then the opposite end, Crosby beach with the famous "Another Place" statues (100 cast iron men facing the sea). It's a wonderful place for people of all ages to visit and I'd recommend it to anyone who can come visit, you'll have a wonderful time.

Love this coastal area. Each time you go for a walk there is always something different to see. I am so lucky to live 5 mins walk from the beach and my children live going for walks or playing on the beach. If your not from the area then I really recommend parking up and just walk and lose yourself in the beautiful scenery. There is plenty of places to park in Crosby, you will to pay and display but its not extortionate like some places are. Please be careful if you venture onto the beaches sinking sand and sandbanks can catch even the most experienced locals and can be dangerous.
