5 Akhis Express Sheffield — Restaurant in Sheffield

One of the nicer fast food restaurant franchises that we have visited on London Road, serving up burgers, spicy chicken tenders, milkshakes and more. 5 Akhis made a great first impression as the restaurant was clean and had plenty of tables with seats. Perfect for us as we are a 25 min drive away from this area, so we like to be able to sit in and eat comfortably.

The menu here has some unique and standout flavours such as Bangla Naga Chicken (hot but full of flavour, we loved these tenders!), and burgers with strawberry jam or mango relish in. I have to say we really enjoyed everything we tried. The food felt fresh, delicious, not greasy, and well worth the visit.

We enjoyed;

Juicy Lucy Burger – 2 x 2.5oz Smash Patty, American Cheese, Melted Gouda Cheese, Caramelised Onions, Gherkins, House Mayo, Mango Relish – the mango added a sweet depth to this burger, but I really enjoyed it! Bangladesh Naga tenders – hot, but very flavoursome Mega loaded fries – beef and peppers with cheese and sweet chilli sauce. I loved these, very moreish and had a great chilli heat. Mozzarella sticks – simple but cheesy goodness Kinder twist milkshake – Kinder bueno, Ferrero Rocher, kinder hippo, crumbled with flake – full of all my favourite things, although I felt it was just a very thick, creamy shake… I didn’t get much Kinder flavour weirdly. Still slurped it up in no time like!

Fresh flavoursome food made with good quality ingredients! The shop is clean & has warm decor with seating. We ordered a truffle Akh burger with cheese fries, Blazing bird burger with Cajun fries and tenders (honey garlic & Sticky El Pape). The burgers tasted fresh, cooked to perfection absolutely no grease & super juicy, the buns soft light. Fries really crispy and well seasoned, cheese sauce rich & creamy (not plastic tasting like some burger joints). Tenders are some of the best we have had!. The sauces are bursting with flavours, the chicken juicy with a crispy coating. Also the chilli dip & garlic dip that it’s served with meals is really nice!. Service was efficient, the portion sizes & quality ingredients are definitely worth the price. We had a takeout box for what we couldn’t finish. I would definitely recommend trying this place as it’s not just another “burger” joint. The burgers are more like a restaurant burger not smashed...

A must-visit in Sheffield!

We visited for the grand opening and was blown away by the food and atmosphere. The menu is packed with flavour — We had the Juicy Lucy Burger, BBQ Sweet One, Cajun Fries, Cheesy Fries, Lemon Pepper Wings, and Flaming Mango Tenders. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the Juicy Lucy — seasoned smash patties with the most delicious relish. The lemon pepper wings were crispy and full of bold flavour.

The drinks were just as impressive — the Sassy Strawberry and Sunset Sherbet were fruity, refreshing, and a perfect match to the meal.

Service was friendly, and the vibe was relaxed but lively. You can really tell they care about quality and customer experience.
