Derbyshire Lane Fish Bar — Restaurant in Sheffield

Well to say I'm upset & angry is an Understatement. My Husband and I have been going to this chip shop for the last 5 years every Friday. We always order fish & chips twice. My Husband always chatted to the young guy frying or if he wasn't there his father. Last week when we went the young guy was off he had injured his hand.when we got our tea home my Husband's fish was full of bones which was very unusual he called the shop and told them they told him to mention it next week which was tonight. He whispered it tonight to the young girl who was serving to be told you should have fetched it back last week Really!! We certainly wasn't going to drive back from Heeley did they not believe us ?. We would never make something up like this. We paid for our Fish & Chips tonight but will never come...

Chips were fairly good.

Fish was very greasy, this is normally an indication that the oil is not at a high enough temperature, this really dragged down the quality of the meal.

Only fish options are scampi, cod and haddock, not great but to be expected.

Spam fritter was not spam, it was battered pork luncheon meat, which is a disgusting thing that doesn't fry well in addition to false advertising and the general greasyness of the battered items.

Bought a fish cake here fri 29th Sept.
