Hagglers Corner — Restaurant in Sheffield

We hired the event space for our engagement party for around 80 people. We loved the look of the place, the brick interior and contemporary vibes was very us and meant that we didn’t really need any decorations. The bookings process was smooth from the start, super responsive, easy to organise and checked in with us closer to the date to make sure everything was in place. I visited the space a few days before, without contacting them, and they still made time to show me around. We chose to have the party on a Saturday afternoon as it was much cheaper and we love a day-do. I would advise getting there earlier than your event to set up and the staff will be on hand to assist. They had extra tables and were so helpful with it all, the bar team especially were lovely. They were short staffed on the day so had to close the bar upstairs but service was super quick downstairs and we were offered a bottle for any inconvenience. All of the guests commented on how great the venue was and most sat outside as it was open, pretty much sheltered from any rain and there was plenty of seating. been coming here for the past ten years or so, yesterday i got turned away for trying to come into the bar for wearing adidas shorts. there were literally people i could see inside the bar that were also wearing adidas/nike/other branded sports shorts but for some reason the bouncers wouldnt let me in? literally had to go home and change and was let in immediately but the whole situation was just pathetic, especially considering literally so many other people were not adhereing to this inconsistent "dress code". since when has there been a dress code for a place like this. its literally july and a warm summers day. will avoid coming back if i can if the clowns running the place want to ruin it and make it into that sort of place. its sheffield not manchester or london, have a word...

First time I've organised a party here and I organise many. From the first contact the venue have been brilliant they could not do enough. The booking process and communication was simple and straightforward. We were allowed to go in earlier than usual to decorate, the room was spotless and all ready for us. The staff were fantastic, the bar staff were attentive and good spirited, special mention to Ruth the bar manager, she looked after us all night. The security staff were also wonderful. Honestly, it was the party of the decade and this was all enhanced by the fabulous surroundings and the staff. This is definitely our number one favourite and the coolest bar and party venue in town.
