La Patisserie — Restaurant in Sheffield

It was a surprise! Escaping from the botanical garden with the kids, because started raining, we followed some friend to this place. And it was simply gorgeous. The place look simple, but it is full of "real" details that allow to create a nice atmosphere. The staff is sincerely kind and everything they prepare is what you need to have a good smile on your face. As Italian I ask "only" for an Espresso..and it was made properly, they asked even if I wanted a glass of fresh water(Italians know what does it mean). My kids went for the home made Gelato (good one), friend for some exceptional slices of lemon cake and if I remember well a slice of cheese cake with mango: loved it!.. they told me there is a garden behind where is possible to join better the place. We will be back...

Dropped in today about 11 am, having skipped breakfast. There are 2 tables on either side of the front terrace, which allow social distancing and a chance for small groups or couples to have a quiet chat. My partner ordered a Brie & cranberry panini, without the bacon. It was warm, full of a thick slice of creamy Brie and the cranberry sauce was just that, not the smear of jam you so often find. I had a warm, granary baguette filled with a thick slice of smoked salmon, fresh spinach and lettuce leaves, fresh avocado and a buttery mayonnaise. It was gorgeous. As were the large, hot black Americanos. It ws one of the nicest late breakfast/early lunches I've had a in a very long time and it was served by pleasant staff. A big thank you. See...

The best place to go in Sheffield by far! Have been coming here for many years, and the food, quality of service and atmosphere has never faltered! The owner is absolutely fantastic, always has a smile on his face and nothing is too much trouble for him. Each and every customer is treat with respect, and it’s as if he’s known you forever! The food is absolutely perfect, always cooked to perfection and really tasty! I’d recommend the paninis and the breakfast I’d you’re stuck for choice! Especially like how they make seasonal hot and cold drinks! Perfect place to go if you’re out for a walk up that end of Sheffield, or even to start a lovely day out with family! Support small...
