Peaks Dessert & Cafe — Restaurant in Sheffield

This was my 1st visit today For a business meeting at Woodseats, I normally go to another place across the road but they were closed so thought I’d try this instead. A nice ambience , very cosy in the back with 2 cosy corners and soft lighting, a little brighter in the front and a big glass window to watch the world go by . Very friendly and obliging staff. Desserts looked amazing. I chose to have a coffee and ( large) muffin on the coffee and cake offer of £4.50. Delish coffee and cake. Just managed to eat it as it was pretty big. After my meeting I continued to work on my laptop and this wasn’t a problem the staff just left me to it so I didn’t feel under any pressure to leave . I didn’t realise that they did breakfast, English and European plus bagels and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Staff were friendly, but made me and my friend wait a very long time to order and a very long time to receive what we ordered. Though there were three staff and not many customers at all. We ordered a crepe each, which by the time we got it served it was cold and tough to cut. (Hope it was just a bad visit and not a reflection of the place, but it put me off from going again sadly.)
