Read moreUnder new management from the end of May-2022, this pub is steeped in history, of coaches and horses. Well worth reading up on that, as this place would have been the local stop for the Ranmoor gentry back in the day. The poor would have walked before the trams came through this way on the way to Fulwood.
The pub looks amazing in summer or winter, the light gives a very different feel depending on the season. The hanging baskets in June look perfect.
A quiet night of conversation was had with friends on 19-Nov, and a couple of beers, before heading for a local curry. Slightly disappointed that the Estrella beer from Barcelona was no longer on tap, but the bar served beer to take out for our meal and we will definitely be back, as this place deserves...

The pub was empty inside with only a few people sat outside and she was just counting while we chatted in the corner. We asked who had complained but the woman just ignored us and walked off. Her attitude was off from the moment we walked in and it really left a sour taste.
