Rassam’s Creamery - city centre — Restaurant in Sheffield

I placed an order last sunday at the Sheffield London Road Rassams.

It said it would be delivered at 7.04pm. At 7.30 I rang the restaurant to ask where the order was at first, they couldn't find the order and after telling me to wait they then to be told me they couldn't tell me how long and they were busy. They were extremely rude, shouting in the background.

The order finally came at 8pm, well 2 items came - biscoff pancake & cookie dough. The cookie dough was cold and the pancakes burnt. I tried to call the restaurant about 10 times, no answer.

I rang Darnall Rassams to ask what I could do, I spoke with Aziz, who couldn't have been more helpful. He tried to contact the store but couldn't reach them and apologised profusely. He asked to take my number to get them to call me back as soon as possible.

They then called me back via social media ( whatts app ) which is completely unacceptable. I spoke to Salen, who was extremely rude, didn't listen to anything I said or let me explain what had happened with the order. He kept talking over me and telling me I had received the order. I explained what was missing and the items that came was burnt and the other one cold. He told me he would send the order again and they are busy so no idea how long it would be.

5 minutes later, the missing items came. The ice cream was water and the rest of the food cold. This had not been freshly made.

I have yet again tried to call the restaurant back and the line is now busy. This was nearly a 30-pound order and after ordering from Rassams numerous times I find the customer service absolutely disgusting. Not only was the staff incredibly rude, they quite frankly couldn't have cared less. Salen was talking to someone else whilst trying to speak to me and it sounded like he was laughing whilst I tried to explain what had happened.

I would just like to finish this with a thank you to Naziz ( Darnall restaurant ) for his help. This was supposed to be a treat for the family which has now turned into chaos as my autistic son will now not eat his ice cream as its more milk!!!!!

Awesome, delicious, fun and vibrant and that's just the food. Multiple choice of ice cream that includes crepes, waffles and many more deserts that are made to a very high standard and delivered on a cute cat robot it's so cool! Kids will love visiting here and very reasonably priced, a great treat for the kids and even bigger kids. Portions are generous, tasty and presented to a very high standard. The premise is very vibrant and lighting to compliment a fun place with a family friendly atmosphere. It has been opened for many years and only recently we visited and blown away by the whole experience, so we have visited again for my birthday. Wish we had of visited when it first opened and could of worked through the menu so much to go at, spoilt for choice! The facilities are very clean and offer very pleasant toilet facilities amongst other facilities. The staff are very professional, caring, courteous, friendly and cater to your requirements and make your visit memorable (A special thank you to Solani I hope I have spelt your name correctly many apologies if not... You work extremely hard, this is the second time you have served us and each time your service has excelled our expectations. Your table manner is off the charts, your work ethic needs to be recognised it is 10 out of 10 nothing is any trouble, you smile with everything you do and hope you get credit or get to see this review from Rassams). Finally, the owner has certainly established a gem of a desert place and definitely deserves to be credited. It is a very well thought out place and has had much care put into the business, it is a place to be visited and can see why awards have been won... Proof is in the pudding! Good things first: the decor is really brave and exciting, neon, zingy pink and black lights are making everything feel like youre in a videogame, its fun! Theres a robot - thats also really damn unusual and quirky. There is a fair choice of ice cream, i partly expected more choice of flavours but the choice was ok. The service was really good from staff and they appeared really warm and friendly and courteous.

Negative points - you have to order from ipads at the tables nit theough the staff members, and to be honest, if you don't know the menu, it's quite difficult knowing what the options mean. Choosing what YOU want to order is a challenge, as opposed to the combos that might be suggested within the app. For instance, if you want two scoops of ice cream, the app decides you want two of the same flavour. I don't. I'm greedy. I want two different flavours. I'm in an ice cream shop, it's my birthday, and I would like cake on the side as well as two seperate flavours. Thats right sir! It's difficult saying what you want within the app. You're pressing the back button, it's deleting your scoops... it take 10 minutes, 12 minutes... you're still not getting what you want. its just annoying!! Let us order through humans too at the ice cream bar! Then the robot is fun, I can see why kids would love it, but as it was my birthday, it would be cool if something could be acknowledged to celebrate it, like the happy birthday stevie wonder song or something! Overall though, I would recommend this place, the food was delicious, the cake was gorgeous and I would like to revisit at some point (hopefully the robot will randomly select a song for each order - now THAT would be...
