Sent me the wrong size and flavour of milkshake. When I called, as per the delivery driver's suggestion, the woman on the phone said "Really?", like I was lying. As if I'd bother going to the hassle of ringing up, while my food was going cold, if it was correct. She then had me read out the order number - I confirmed this and that it had my name on it, but that the item was wrong (peanut butter flavour - totally disgusting - instead of Oreo, and regular instead of the large that I paid for). She told me I was wrong.
By this point I had been put on hold three times. She then came back with "Write down this number, take a picture of it and send it across to us", i .e. telling me for a third time that the customer is always wrong. I didn't have a pen to hand, my food was all going cold by this point, and it was a ridiculous amount of trouble for their mistake. So I gave up.
I have the feeling they would have still told me I was wrong - can you taste peanuts from a picture?!
Fortunately I don't have a peanut allergy, but this sort of mistake could have very serious implications for the many people that do.
Absolutely terrible customer service. So, I've paid for something I can't consume. Incidentally, my milkshake was also wrong the previous time I ordered, but at least that time it was actually drinkable. Now, my hot food is cold, the ice cream for the dessert totally melted to liquid, and I've paid £6 of my order for absolutely nothing (but being told I'm wrong several times) while the rest is spoiled and not enjoyable after all the pointless messing about. So basically the whole order price for nothing, a load of stress, and awful treatment rather than just correcting their mistake.
AVOID.
Edit: 2.5 hours later I received a text message from the manager, who had seen my review. She processed a refund of the full order. I very much appreciate this follow up and response. It would have been so much easier/cheaper for them just to send the milkshake I actually ordered, which was all that I was originally requesting. But I am impressed that the matter was eventually dealt with...
Read moreHugely disappointing food from the bland beef burger to the nashville chicken thats more close to chinese takeaway curry sauce than nashville sauce. Upon entering, I noticed an unusual disparity between the 10+ number of staff members and the lack of customers. Despite being the only customer at the time, I was ignored twice when trying to place my order by a staff member who acted like his conversation with the cook was more important than a waiting customer, so I went to use the self-serving till, hoping that the quality of the food would compensate for the poor service as it was late and not worth finding a different place which i usually would of done by this point.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. I ordered the Nashville box meal with curly fries, Nashville tenders, along with a Naga beef burger, curly fries and a milkshake.
The Nashville sauces on the tenders, half-covered and resembling the smell of takeaway Chinese curry sauce, tasted exactly like that chicken dunked in Chinese curry sauce, were a far cry from the authentic Nashville flavour I had experienced in the U.S, from the creators, Princes hot chicken and good imitators like Hattie B's hot chicken. While I understand regional variations, the difference in taste was shocking and felt like a disgrace to the true essence of Nashville chicken, as i've tried different places in the uk which do a decent attempt at nashville flavour this was nothing like that, i feel sorry for the people who are being misled and probably wont ever come to know real authentic Nashville chicken because they've tried this and think this poor attempt is it. The beef burger, though including a decent hot sauce sauce, suffered from extremely poor beef quality—bland, fatty, and a chore to eat.
Despite the disappointment in the main courses, the milkshake was quite nice, which provided some reprieve from the unpleasant taste of the food.
Munchies failing to meet even the basic standards of customer service and authenticity in their food. The misrepresented Nashville flavor and the lackluster quality of the beef burger makes it that i will never...
Read moreIf you're looking for an amazing burger experience in Sheffield, look no further than Munchies. From the moment you walk in, you'll be struck by the cool, relaxed vibe and the mouth-watering smell of freshly cooked burgers. The decor is funky and modern, with bright colors and quirky touches that give it a unique personality.
But the real star of the show is the burgers themselves. These are not your average fast food burgers - they're made with high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients and cooked to perfection. The patties are juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning, and the toppings are creative and delicious. Whether you're in the mood for classic cheese and bacon, or something more adventurous like a chili-infused burger with jalapenos and guacamole, you'll find something to suit your taste.
But it's not just the burgers that make this place great - the sides and drinks are also top-notch. The fries are crispy and golden, and the onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. They also have a great selection of craft beers and cocktails to wash it all down with.
And perhaps the best thing about Munchies is the service. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Whether you're dining in or getting takeout, you'll feel like a valued customer.
Overall, I can't recommend Munchies highly enough. It's the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends, a date night, or even a solo meal when you're craving something delicious. So if you're in Sheffield, do yourself a favor and check it out - you won't be...
