Station Cafe Chapeltown — Restaurant in Sheffield

Normally we order Sunday dinners to be delivered. When it was 20mins late I phoned them to check it was coming, they said it was on its way. An hour after that I called them again as it still hadn't been delivered they told me the deliver person had been and claimed they couldn't find the way into the property. We have a small gate, not locked that leeds straight to the front door. After the first phone call my mum watched out of the landing window for an hour (like old people do) and no one came to the gate. They offered to send out the same meals again that had been travelling around for longer than an hour but couldn't do anything else as they closed in 15 mins. The food has always been OK from here, but I can't imagine over an hour driving round the housing estates making it get better.

Ordered a large sausage and tomato sandwich from work and when I opened the foil up the sandwich basically collapsed ! whoever had made the sandwich had put the tomato on the bottom of the breadcake UNDER the sausage so all the bottom part of the sandwich just went mushy and fell apart . Couldn't even hold it so had to pick through it with my fingers ! had the same sandwich before with the tomato ON TOP of the sausage and had no problems . Shame really as the Sausage is tasty ! Oh well , I'll give it one more go and if it's the same next time I'll go elsewhere . 😔 Edit ... I absolutely love this cafe!! I'm disabled and I find it very difficult to leave my home. But I phone Station Cafe and they always take my order and drop it off at my home for me! There isn't many or if any that do great home cooked freshly cooked food like Station Cafe!!! Thank you x The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing!! So reasonably priced too!!
