The Greedy Greek Deli — Restaurant in Sheffield

Unfortunately we had the worst gyros I’ve ever had from here. I ordered 1 meatball wrap and 2 pork and chicken gyros and chips to take away. Firstly the meatball wrap only had one medium meatball on it but in half , very disappointing for the price , then when Opened my gyros visually it looked yummy I was excited for the taste sensation … until I started to eat it … it was SO SO Salty !!! Like they’d put more salt on the meat so you couldn’t taste the poor quality , the meat itself was poor quality and mainly just fatty bits and so chewy (in a bad way ) , and it was just a waste - it all went in the bin (as did my mums as she didn’t like hers either ) it was a complete waste of 24 quid … this place had such a good reputation … and it used to be nice … but I’m off to crookes for Greek food from now on … Very disappointing …. Wish I could get a refund on it it...

The least impressive Greek restaurant I've been to. For the price, this is not what you would expect.

Service is nice but the owner doesnt give anything away for the price you pay. Reused disposable plastic cups on the table, and I suspected microwaved or at the very least reheated, portions of food (for the sit in food like the Kleftiko). Dont me get started on the salads and sides, just read the other reviews you'll get the point.

I think the wraps are good here though, it seems to be what everyone gets, and it seems they're actually cooked on the grill. Everything else sit in was nowhere near the standard you get in other Greek restaurants, let alone Greece. It seems like they are not passionate at all and purely interested in saving pennies. What a shame that I don't feel able to enjoy the food here, as I have done in the past. But it has now lost its appeal.

With the allegations that have arisen regarding below minimum wage pay, aggressive and abusive behaviour towards employees and the dismissal of an employee challenging this, the Greedy Greek is not a place which I feel able to patronise at present until

i. The allegations are addressed and disproven or shown to have been addressed going forwards ii. The employee dismissed for challenging this is reinstated with back pay covering the period of dismissal

Once I am happy with these matters I will gladly visit once more as I have enjoyed the food in the past, and will review once again, when the bad atmosphere has lifted...
