The Vintage Tearooms — Restaurant in Sheffield

What an amazing and interesting place this is, tucked away down a small alley. We booked ahead, as my friend has a small baby and I wanted to check that it was okay. We were made very welcome, it's cosy and a great atmosphere. We both had Americano and was offered hot or cold milk. I opted for thick toast with butter and jam, my friend had the scrambled eggs on toast. We were offered white or brown bread. It was delicious and the portions were "just right". As you would expect there was a choice of homemade cakes and scones etc, which we both declined, more to do with our waistlines, than the beautiful offerings. My friend also had a herbal tea, served in a teapot (leaves). Staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We probably overstayed our welcome as we were so busy chatting, we were left to chat at our leisure. The china was lovely, vintage crockery and cutlery. This is an amazing place, definitely worth a visit, maybe have the afternoon...

My friends threw a baby shower for me yesterday (Sunday) at the Vintage tearooms and it was perfect from start to finish. The tea rooms itself is so lovely and decorated with gorgeous bunting. We had the whole place to ourselves which was wonderful and 17 of us all enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea. Everyone with dietary requirements was catered for with ease; gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerant.

Everyone commented on how delicious the sandwiches, homemade coleslaw and scones were. The tea was flowing all afternoon without us ever needing to ask for top ups, the staff just kept on top of everything perfectly. There was plenty of food and everyone went home with a large slice of cake of their choice.

I would highly recommend hiring the Vintage tearooms to anyone as a baby shower venue!

Anita would like to say a massive thank you to Tracey at Vintage Tea Rooms for the beautiful afternoon tea delivered to her home to celebrate her husband’s birthday. They have been self isolating since March, and Tracey enabled them to celebrate his birthday in the safety of their own garden. The food was amazing, lovely fresh sandwiches, Including coleslaw and crisps, scrumptious cakes and delicious fresh jam and cream scones. Everything was perfect. She is so grateful for making Brian’s birthday so special....
