Wildcard Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Sheffield

Place is nice and the food was quite good, however, plates cleared at 9.30pm and no one came back to see if we wanted anything else. 10 minutes later managed to spot a waitress and asked for desert menu but she said the kitchen had just closed and also coffee machine had been switched off. Seriously why wouldn't you check with diners if they want anything else b4 closing the kitchen? Also, had a couple of drinks at the bar first and asked them to open me a tab as we were having food.The barman took my card ( I though to swipe) then he disappeared! After a couple of mins he came back and I was like where's my card. He said we have to keep it next to the till until you pay. I said 'no you're not allowed to do that' the card should not leave my sight .. you shouldn't have even touched it! A few exchanges followed but basically ' give me back my card and I'll pay now for the drinks'. I think you need to up your customer service and maybe a little bit of staff customer care training wouldn't go a miss. Sorry not meaning to be a moaner but probably won't come back, just...

We've just been to Wild Card for a family meal to celebrate my daughters birthday. 3 of us wanted to order the Memphis BBQ plate only to be told it wasn't available. Not a great start to the evening. I ordered the Buffalo prawn skewer. £19.50 for 7 prawns (that tasted of nothing) a handful of salad and a dish of the saltiest fries i have ever eaten! The rest of us ordered an American double cheese burger (which wasn't eaten because the patty was burnt and the cheese sauce was lumpy and greasy). Touchdown Cajun chicken tacos (which was average). Boneless basket loaded fries (with chewy chicken). BBQ pulled pork stone baked pizza and Chick N Kiev loaded fries, which were both thoroughly enjoyed. Please be aware this is a sports bar, and it is very, very loud. Also, a 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill, which is one thing that i do not agree with. IF I want to leave a tip, I would like to decide how much that will be. Overall, I didn't enjoy anything about the Wildcard Bar and Grill, and I definitely wouldn't recommend...

I was quickly seated at my table however the floor staff were incredibly rude and wanted to hurry us along, the food that arrived was well below par and not worth the outstanding prices. Me and my family came to watch a football match, despite all the screens I could not get a good view. I ordered a banana split but the banana was raw and the ice cream was rock hard, not mixed at all! I was sat on the table closest to the kitchen and I heard disgusting language from the kitchen throughout my stay. As a homosexual man I no longer feel comfortable in this establishment as staff shout horrendous slurs that no one should ever have to hear, I noticed that the strawberry blonde staff member wearing a suit was particularly bad. I left with a sour taste in my mouth. At one point I went outside for a cigarette and I noticed a terrible stench coming from the bins with food waste on the floor. YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER. AVOID...
