Definitely not recommend! I had made a reservation at 8:30pm and at 5:30pm the restaurant called to remind me. I considered keeping the reservation. After discussing it, we were very far from the restaurant, according to google map it was more than 3 hours drive so we called back and said we wanted to cancel the reservation but the restaurant said it would cost 20 pounds per person if we canceled the reservation so we confirmed that we would try to arrive before 9pm according to the kitchen closing time that the receptionist informed. It did not mean that we changed the reservation time to 9pm. While on the road, we asked the restaurant to send us the menu in advance so we could choose the dishes to save time, but the receptionist told us to go to the website to see it ourselves. We arrived at the restaurant at 20:37 and when we went to get a table, a lady, I think the manager, insisted that we had changed the time to 21:00 and made us wait with an extremely impolite attitude. She was constantly rude to us when inviting us to the table, giving us the menu... I don't understand how a restaurant manager of a big hotel like this can behave like that. When I asked my waitress if I could move to an empty table near the window near where I was sitting, the manager said very impolitely: no, it's booked. No apology, no look at the customer... Until we finished our meal at 21:40, the guests of that table still did not appear. She lied to not serve us. Extremely disappointing when we had hoped for a much more worthwhile experience. I was so bored that I only ordered a salad which I barely touched. My husband ordered a glass of wine and the waiter forgot. Please consider carefully if you are going to this restaurant.

I had booked a window table for 8:30 pm and arrived at 8:37 pm — still well within the 15-minute holding policy. Despite this, the hostess greeted us with arrogance and an unwelcoming attitude, then placed us at a table in the middle of the room with no view. When I politely asked to switch to a window table that was clearly empty, the same hostess told me it was reserved. Fair enough, I thought — until my wife and I finished our meal at 9:40 pm and that “reserved” table was still completely empty. This made no sense at all, especially since last orders were at 9:00 pm. To make matters worse, the wine I had ordered was only served after I had already finished eating. That sums up the level of service here: arrogant at the door, careless at the table, and completely unprofessional overall. No matter how nice the scenery might be, a restaurant that treats guests like this does not deserve its name. A deeply disappointing experience — definitely not recommended.

This restaurant is very aptly named, as the view is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, they rely way too much on this. The food was mediocre at best - gastropub fare at Michelin star prices, certainly not worth it. We found the waitstaff to all be excellent - that great combination of professional yet friendly. However, the restaurant manager was extremely rude to us on multiple occasions, so much so that I really wonder how he even holds such a position. We were told by reception staff when booking in person that the front line tables were allocated on a first come, first serve basis. When we arrived 3 such tables were free so we asked for one. The waitress said it should be fine until the manager came over and gave us conflicting stories about why we couldn’t sit there. Shockingly, we were told it wouldn’t be possible to sit elsewhere and move when another table became free because he’d “rather not have to clean 2 tables” and that certain tables were reserved “because residents are paying £600 per night so take priority”. I have dined at fine dining establishments all over the world and never had such haughty and strangely tacky service from a manager. Nobody came to ask us how the meal was, and you’d think given the prices and manager’s attitude that they’d know the correct temperature to serve red wine. I’d be willing to let all this go if the food was anywhere near matching prices but it was not even close. If you’re a non resident looking for great food, go elsewhere. Maybe you can come for a drink or to admire the view but I’d recommend to avoid the restaurant and the worst manager I’ve ever come across.

Reply to management: it was abundantly clear to the manager that we were not satisfied, it certainly did not require complaining continuously throughout the meal. By the time your manager had been so rude and weird towards us multiple times we just wanted to try to enjoy the time we had there. It’s disappointing you put the onus on customers to continually moan instead of your manager checking in, which happens in pretty much all other restaurants, even cheap ones. In fact, when we left 2 of the waitstaff said goodbye and thanks but your manager looked at us then looked away purposely ignoring us. I left a review at both the restaurant and hotel listings due to the fact that people are reviewing your restaurant separately at both places and I believe people who look at either place should know the experience that other diners have had, it’s unfortunate that you find that disappointing instead of wanting to address your managers shocking behaviour. It wasn’t the fact that we didn’t sit at the window table that caused this review (I am not that childish and we still had a great view), it is how it was dealt with by the manager who just made the situation worse, saying conflicting and weird things, making us feel like a nuisance, then out of nowhere pointing out what guests are paying for their rooms etc, and just having a terrible attitude and tone. As I said, the rest of your staff...
