The Isles Inn is a lovely pub restaurant and Inn located at the north-west corner of Somerled Square in Portree! We visited the Inn back in August of 2018 so it is a bit of time since I was here however, I remember the staff being very friendly and welcoming! And the night that we visited the Inn was alive with traditional musice the evening that we were there! There was a good selection of beers and drinks to choose from to suit everyone and the food looked amazing! Food: We didn't get to the pub before the kitchen closed but from what I have read the food is brilliant, definitely a restaurant that is worth seeing in Portree. From our mistake and from what I have read, make sure you are there early enough so that you can beat the crowds and get a seat so that you can sample the delicious food that they have on offer! Layout: From what I remember when you enter you are met with a bar counter that is in the centre of the building. Then there was seating to the left hand side of the bar which set up for dining and more seating to the right hand side of the bar set up for the pub area. There is a fireplace on the right hand side of the premises but I cannot remember if there was another fireplace on the left hand side in the dining area. Decor: It is an old country style pub in the village of Portree. It is decorated in a plain and simple manner and there were a few painting hung around the premises with the walls painted white. Nothing flashy but I think thats what made it better in my opinion! I do remember that there was a tv however, I think this Inn serves much better as a place where people can come for a meal, have some conversation and listen to some traditional music rather than to come to just watch tv! Accommodation: We were staying in a lovely B&B nearby so we did not avail of the accommodation here but from what I have read it is a good option for staying in Portree! Overall Opinion: The Isles Inn is a lovely pub with that small town feel to it. The night that were visited we had a wonderful time and we got to enjoy some great traditional music! If you are in Portree and you have some time I highly recommend stopping by The Isles Inn for a drink if you are lucky like we were you might get to sample some of the local culture!

At a Sunday noon, a friend introduced me to a nearby hotel for local lunch. The Isles Inn, located in the Scottish Highlands, provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere, taking you on a local culinary journey through Scotland. From the warm atmosphere and innovative cuisine to the dishes using high-quality local ingredients, The Isles Inn provides guests with extraordinary palate enjoyment. The menu at The Isles Inn is the epitome of Scottish cuisine, with an emphasis on local ingredients and traditional flavours. The culinary journey of tasting Skye Inn begins with Haggis, a signature dish. Fresh lamb, oats and spices are carefully prepared, served with apple puree and bacon to start your taste buds with a feast of Scottish flavors. In terms of main course, Sunday's seafood platter is a signature recommended by locals. The seafood platter includes salmon and local shellfish such as mussels and scallops. The delicious seafood is cooked, served with golden chips and homemade tartar sauce, which is rich in flavor and is one of the representatives of Scottish seafood cuisine. When you eat the perfect meal, you feel satisfied and satisfied. The food at The Isles Inn is a true reflection of Scottish cuisine, giving you a taste of the best of Scotland. Whether you're a food lover or just looking for an unforgettable culinary adventure, The Isles Inn is a must-see restaurant in Portree.

The sign claiming "Your food is made fresh every order" is misleading. Our visit was a major disappointment. The service was poor, and the food was far from fresh  so don't lie... We visited the town today, sadly we didn't notice all the nicer places to eat and ended up here. For £16.95, I expected a quality burger, sadly this was not the case. The burger patty was super dry, frozen cheap crap for sure. There was a horrible sauce in the burger but the cherry on top of the pile of dog poo was the the fact the bun was frozen! Frozen and then toasted, it was super hard and tough on the edges and still really cold in the middle. Served with the cheapest of cheap frozen chips that were undercooked and mushy. The haggis tower tasted like a microwave meal, with the sauce being the only redeeming quality. Honestly, shame on you as an establishment to serve such a horrible burger at such a price. The burgers at Blackpool promenade are fresher and tastier than what you serve. A Rustler burger is better and fresher than what you serve. I'm sad to have visited here, please sort your mess out, it's not much to ask for to be served actual fresh food and by fresh we mean NOT FROZEN. I mean forzen burger buns, really? Maybe watch some episodes of Gordan Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and learn what fresh means or take your sign off the wall.

First off - don’t go here, choose somewhere better, read on to find out why. We went for dinner and the place was moderately busy, so we waited. And waited. And waited. By the time we finally placed our orders, we have been there for an hour. We continued to wait and maintained patience but it was pushing two hours and we still hadn’t received any water or our food. Tables that were sat after us were served their food and paying before we got our food. We eventually flagged down the waiter to ask for an update on the food to which he seemed offended we asked. He then went to the kitchen and came back with our food….and it was cold. The taste was very subpar and the pepper bounced off it from it being so cold and solid when attempting to add SOME flavor. The burger was dry and flavorless with wilted veggie. The meat pie isn’t even a pie at all and was nothing but salted meat in a salt gravy. The waiter never checked on us again after the food was placed despite it being significantly less busy. The price you pay does not match what you’d expect for quality in food and service. Due to this experience, I highly wish we would’ve gone to a different place and actually enjoyed ourselves. Do yourself a favor and literally go anywhere but here. And I NEVER write reviews, negative ones especially. I’m not a complainer and am hard to displease so me leaving a review speaks VOLUMES. It’s such a bummer considering we had only one dinner planned while venturing isle of skye and it was wasted on...

Food wasn't bad (we only had toastie and soup) and the large fire place is nice, but unfortunately those are the only good points I have. Service was terrible - started with no staff to be seen when a sign says to wait to be seated. Then waitresses, bar staff, and kitchen staff ignored us until I had to ask if we could seat ourselves (there were only 2 other tables filled). Response from one of the staff was to "be patient". It only got worse from there - very slow service despite there only being 2 other tables; waitress did not know what the soup of the day was, nor were there any signs in the restaurant area; we were told just before ordering that the restaurant's gas had run out and they had called someone to come fix it but in the meantime no food cooked on the gas stove could be made. Waitress had to check if that included toasties and soup when we asked (it did). The food took a surprising amount of time to arrive given we were the only order being made in the kitchen given the gas troubles. The other 2 tables were tour groups who ordered dishes that needed gas to be cooked and kept being promised by staff that it would be "5 more minutes" for the next half an hour, until they left in frustration without getting any food because they had to make it back to their tour bus. No toilet paper in 1 of 2 of the women's bathrooms either. Despite fire place on one side, the restaurant end was quite cold. Would...
