This place has gone downhill so quick in few months time. I'm a regular visitor usually spend atleast £20 to £30 a week in this store sit in and drive through. Drive through staff is usually helpful but mostly it's closed not sure why. But problem is in the shop. Costa charges premium prices but service isn't comparable with even McDonalds infact there is no concept of customer service especially in this store. Staff has no sense of urgency, a typical cup of coffe sometimes takes 15 to 20 mins to be produced and could still not meet the par standards. Also rarely see any manager in store probably staff is left un supervised or minimum direction. Few suggestions for the franchise owner:
Invest on uplifting customer service standards. Make your staff understand that if there is no customer there is no business and if no business no salary no jobs. If you place trainee staff on the tills make sure they have enough support from a senior team member please don't mess up with customer orders with an excuse that you are training them. As customer we don't make excuses to pay the bill.
Do bit of comparative analysis what's going in the market, you have greggs and McDonalds selling same size latte in pretty much half price so why would someone come to costa for double of the price for a cold latte, dropped faced staff, bins full of rubbish, tables not cleaned etc. I hope this isn't complicated to understand. Read moreI don’t usually go to leave reviews but I really had to. Whenever I come here whatever I order is always watered down or just doesn’t taste right. On my last visit I’ve ordered peach iced tea, which tasted of nothing. When I order iced americano it’s always super watered down from here as well it is literally pale orange in colour and I thought it’s because of being decaf but at any other costa it’s never watered down like this. I only come here out of convenience as it’s the only coffee drive thru in the area I know of but I don’t think I’ll be back. I ordered a Black Forest hot chocolate here recently, specifically with coconut milk and when I got home to enjoy it I could immediately tell it wasn’t coconut milk or something was off with the taste as I order it very frequently when it is available in the winter period… there wasn’t even a coconut milk sticker on there, I had to stop drinking it. Luckily unlike some I’m not allergic to milk its just a preference but i have family members who have severe food allergies so this is concerning to me. A star for otherwise quick and friendly service from the drive thru staff, never had any problems with the toasties, but please stop watering down your iced drinks they don’t taste...
Read moreFirst time dining in this branch of Costa. Got three drinks to dine in and a bacon brie panini. The panini came nice and toasted. But then they came out with the drinks in takeaway cups when we had told them we want to dine in. The employee then casually said that we can still drink the takeaway drinks there and that you actually get more in the takeaway cups. We did not even receive an apology for the mistake either. We were appalled to hear such a thing. We understand the mistake of making the drinks to go rather than to dine in but that was not an appropriate thing to say. It felt as though we were thought of as lowly and the statement seemed unprofessional. We wanted to dine in so that’s what we wanted we did not care if there is a higher amount of drink in the takeaway cups. Eventually they poured the drinks into glass cups to dine in. On top of that a dirty unusable spoon was given to us to stir the drinks with, it had white stains all over it. Our customer service was terrible on our visit at this...
