Leddy's — Restaurant in South Derbyshire

We visited Leddy’s on Saturday evening (table of four) and had the most wonderful time.

An idyllic location and a quaint, tastefully decorated restaurant you feel a warm and welcoming feeling as soon as you step through the door.

A diverse menu offering something for everyone, we had the belly pork / mussels starter which was sublime and presented wonderfully.

Our mains order comprised of the Mushroom Risotto, Scallop / Black Pudding / Pancetta burger, Leddys Burger and the Ribeye steak. Our table was silent for a moment after the first bite, in awe of how good it tasted. I personally had the steak and can comfortably say it is the best I have ever had; it melted in my mouth. The homemade chips are to die for and we also shared the mac and cheese side which was equally as scrumptious.

To round off the evening, we couldn’t resist dabbling with the pudding menu. After hard consideration we went with the sticky toffee pudding, pannacotta and the chocolate torte. It may not surprise you to report there wasn’t so much as a crumb left- delicious.

After hearing the fabulous reviews about Leddys, I decided to book for Valentines Evening. Rather than the usual menu, they had opted for a 6 course taster menu. Now, last week I had said I could quite easily become a vegetarian due to the lack of meat I eat because of being so fussy, but after this meal, that’s never happening!!!! The menu was amazing, things I would very easily steered away from if i had seen it on a menu. This gave me the kick up the derrière to go in open minded and try different foods. I have to say the food was exceptional, every course was a taste sensation. I haven’t stopped talking about it yet. I did suggested that the Lavender Treacle tart ought to be available to order to take home. I will 100% be back…I’m dropping hints for Mothers Day, Birthdays, Father’s Day….any...

What an incredible night at Leddy’s! Six of us wined, dined, and had the best time imaginable. The food? Absolute perfection. I kicked things off with the scallops, so good they deserve their own fan club. Then came the beef, which was so tender and flavorful it practically melted in my mouth. And that sticky toffee pudding? Let’s just say it was love at first bite!

The staff were total stars—fun, friendly, and always one step ahead. Our wine glasses were magically never empty (how do they do that?), and their energy added to the already buzzing vibe.
