New Swad — Restaurant in South Derbyshire

Poor service,sat and waited 15 minutes,while watching them just doing nothing,not even a drink,they only had 3 tables,just forgotten about.returned aweek later, explained what poor service it was,they opologized,and opologized,and opologized,and we was in the restaurant for two hours,we only had a curry,not even poppadoms, just to save time,in total there was 10 people in at the, hardly busy.asked for bill,then just went cleaning tables like previous visit.Its not like they need the tables,there are plenty of empty ones.On a positive note,food was good,if your not in a hurry.If it's busy,you could be in there alnight.Will not be returning.Look after your locals,I get the impression they don't care because now they are the only Indian restaurant in swad.Just a reminder,the last...

Ordered to pick up last night, first time trying this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. Upon picking the food up, the restaurant was so busy which was such a good sign. I could see that service was fast, the staff genuinely were on the ball and really cared. We got our order a little late- but it was worth it because the food was freshly cooked and order was perfect and as ordered.

Most beautiful indian food we've ever had. I had chicken tikka masala and it was absolutely unreal. It can't be compared to anything I've had before, just 10/10. The bombay alloo were also the best we've had, will definitely keep coming here and recommending you to anybody!

Will have to sit in next time. If you enjoy Indian Cuisine and love fresh, decadent food....

Great food, service is good but the staff seem to prioritise the take away orders, and the attentiveness on the restaurant is then not so good, slight mistake on our bill which took 15 minutes to correct, but it was corrected but no apology for their mistake, will still go back but always go at 6pm before the take away orders pick up or you end up waiting, the owner is a lovely man always give you a big welcome, but he goes into the kitchen presumably to help cook the orders.
