CJ's Diner — Restaurant in South Holland

We walked in, and it was so busy and loud. We went to the back area to eat, and it was very cold, we couldn't help noticing the uncleanness of the table, including the placemats. I was brought a coffee which I was surprised at, it was lovely and the cup was clean! We waited a further 30 minutes, which we was getting impatient but understood because it was busy, probably busier than usual with it being a Tuesday! Our food finally arrived, served by I'm presuming the owner, he was friendly and I couldn't fault his attitude. I got breakfast - sausage,egg,bacon,hash browns, x2 beans, and toast, which came with butter in a jar, cute and different. (There was an option for tomatoes and mushrooms, but I had them removed) Everything about that food was right. It was by far the best breakfast I have ever ever eaten! I have only knocked off a star because the cleanliness let them down, I hope the owner reads this and steps up his cleaning routine because I would absolutely love to go again. Had a breakfast there today for my birthday, it's the first time we have eaten there but had heard good reviews so thought we would give it a try. We have had breakfast at lots of local establishments and I have to say we both said it's the best we have eaten for a long while the food was cooked fresh so perfectly hot and the quality of the meat products were outstanding we orded tea and got a full pot which gave us both 2 mugs each, I would highly recommend and will definately be back maybe to try something else...

Amazing place. Love the "Old American diner" style. As it happens is family runed place and both of owners are very warm and welcoming .Nice place to jump for a quick tea/coffe break or sat down with family and an have the best burgers in the town. Always fresh food. Nice clean and tidy place.
