Saffron Authentic Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in South Holland

We ordered at 18:36pm and was told it would be 45-60 minutes, this was ok as it’s Valentine’s Day and you’d expect it to be busy, totally understanding of that.

Called to check on the order status at 19:45 (1hr 9 mins after ordering) and was told 10 mins.

We expected the delivery at 19:55 ish. Called again at 20:15 and told driver was out for delivery.

Called again at 20:49pm still no delivery and was again told the driver was out for delivery.

Called again at 21:03pm be told driver was out for delivery (2hrs 13 mins after ordering).

Our order finally arrived at 21:18pm, 2hrs 42 mins after ordering. The food was cold, we had to reheat, and it was just lacking flavour. We had nothing good to say about the food, it was “ok” at best. we’ve been ordering from Tulip, now Saffron for over 5 years.

Please set expectations, if you’re not able to fulfil the order please say, if it’s going to be nearly 3hrs then be honest. If it was an enjoyable meal I’d of maybe had some understanding of the wait, but it wasn’t good at all.

(We had ours delivered) Everything was perfect, accept we had no salad with our baji which I expect from kebab shop but not from a restaurant! That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars not 5 ,apart from that it was amazing we also had prawn korma ,gosth ka salan, king prawn jalfrezi, tarka dahl, egg fried rice, keema nan and stuffed vegetable paratha , the 2 breads weren't on the menu but they still do them and they were lovely ,also we were a bit shocked that they did not want to give free popadoms considering we spent £59 they said they would only do it the once , most indian restaurants I have used have no problem giving them for free when you spend that amount, but we are really looking forward to using again and will update star rating if I get salad with my baji starter next time and popadoms free when we...

Where do I start. Service was awful, took over 2 hours from ordering my good to be delivered. When I rang them up the first time they said it would be 15 minutes. 25 minutes later still no food. Wanted to speak to the owner/manager for them to tell me he is delivering my food. When it finally turn up he wasn't the owner. So they fobbed me off. Food was not hot.
