Came here for a roast dinner, which was everything I hoped. The staff were lovely. There was ample parking and it is dog friendly.

Sadly, the food took over 2 hours to be served to pre-booked meals. The waiting time was prolonged for everything. The food when served was OK at best. But in honesty waiting until 10.15 at night to be served a main meal most of our group wanted to go home. The manager tried his best to reduce cost and supplied drinks, etc, but at the end of the day, not good service at all. Would say more kitchen staff required to reflect the work of the waiting staff.

Some had a turkey roast with no stuffing or Yorkshire and oddly a beef gravy, which was far to rich for this meal. The turkey was overcooked, too. Some people had sausage and mustard mash, which was in edible, mustard mash was basically just mustard, sausages were cooked to inch of their life!!

The decor and the lounge bit were pleasant, though, and the atmosphere was Christmasy. Honestly sad it wasn't better as I heard such...

Waitress was lovely. Came with our family , 8 of us in total. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to scratch. Half of the plates had things missing, for example carrots, red cabbage and parsnips. Some plates had them, some didn't. And another table opposite us had the same issue. The roast potatoes were dry , like they were cooked hours before and hot held for too long. The Yorkshire pudding was over cooked. The meat was good but the food could of been a bit warmer. We did have a table booked in the future and we cancelled it, the barman didn't ask for any feedback as to why. We would want to try again, maybe if there was improvement and feedback worked on . As the restaurant is nice and so was the atmosphere and waitress who listened to our feedback just a shame the food...

Have just returned from Sunday carvery - the meat was overcooked and dry, the roast potatoes tasted as though they had been deep fried in stale oil, veg was OKish, Yorkshires were nice. Overall I would describe the experience as how I would imagine Sunday lunch in an old people's home to be. My daughter likes ketchup on her roast (yes, I know...heathen) so I asked for some but was refused as despite having ketchup in they "don't serve ketchup on a Sunday". If I owned a restaurant I would be more than happy to provide a paying customer with their required condiments! We paid for our carvery (didn't bother with pudding - couldn't get out of the joint quick enough) and left - we certainly will not be returning to the establishment under the...
