Late! AGAIN! Time after time I give this restaurant another chance because the food quality is always stunning but today they just took the Michael. After ordering I was told the delivery time would be an hour after ordering, with an eta of 20:50. when the food had not arrived at 21:00 I called the restaurant to enquiry and was AGAIN met with an incredibly rude and dismissive lady who simply told me it had already left the restaurant and would be with me within 15minutes. Always the same rude and unapologetic response when I call. Having still not received a delivery at 21:20, I called again and was met with the same totally rude lady who said it wasn’t her fault. She informed me that her delivery driver must have broken down (the same story I was given on two previous occasions so maybe a new delivery car might be in order) and still not so much as an apology; and not even an ETA this time. Incidentally, this is the third we have ordered food from the restaurant and had ridiculously late deliveries. When the food eventually arrived at 21:44, 1hr 54mins after ordering the food, it was cold - unsurprising really. Needless to say I told the delivery driver to take it away again and, after again speaking to the restaurant and actually speaking to a different member of staff this time, cancelled the order completely. I was not willing wait again and to start eating at well after 10pm when I ordered before 8pm. It is such a shame as the food quality is always stunning (when hot), but this is the third time I have given the restaurant the chance to bring their service up to the same high standards and, if anything, they have gotten worse. Totally disappointed, unsatisfied, and very hungry. I am stunned at how such a poor service can continue without reprimand. Advise for anybody ordering - order well in advance. That way, WHEN the delivery is late, it won’t be the end of the world and you will be able to heat it in the microwave and then enjoy the stunning...

Read moreI do not know if I have bad luck with restaurants overthe festive period , tonight at the Gurkha started so promising ,drinks were served quickly ,then the poppadoms , the starters came quite quickly , but then everything seemed to stand still in the restaurant with hardly anyone getting served , this did not help with the management squeezing as many tables more they usually have , then the only movement seemed to be coming out of the kitchen was to serve the constant line at the bar who was waiting for takeaways, our main course came to the table after 50 minutes !!!!! after being reassured at least 3 times that it was on the way , my dish was ok ,but not as requested as madras hot , I did not want to complain as it might have took even longer to get it rectified, also the last beer that got served was as flat as a pancake of which we tried to get sorted but to no avail , after the meal was finished ,we then asked for the bill , as you can guess this took well over 20 minutes with prompting twice to receive , I can't complain about the waiters/waitresses of which they could have not done enough , but the management need to look at how they manage busy nights , it's not by putting extra tables in the restaurant, also it's not by taking unlimited...
