Cottage Bakery — Restaurant in South Oxfordshire

Delivery driver was rude and clearly has no respect for his job or the company he works for.

I was stopped and shouted at by one of The Cottage Bakery delivery drivers this morning in my local shop where he was delivering sandwich's to the store. The driver was behind me whist driving up to the village shop (Not following the high way code stopping distance in the rain). Once I got out my car to go into the shop the extremely rude delivery driver started shouting at me, telling me the narrow hill we was driving up this morning was a national not a 30 MPH. I explained to the driver that it is pouring with rain and the hill is very narrow, yet the delivery driver did not seem to care about the way he was speaking to me. Once the driver left the shop, the shop keeper and myself was laughed as we was shocked what we just witnessed. The shop keeper gave me the drivers name and told me to contact the company - Awaiting a response from the company.

I am always greeted with a warm welcome every time I go to The Cottage Bakery, Thame. The staff are really friendly and helpful - if they don’t have something on the shelf they are more than willing to check the stock room or order it in for you. I have also noticed they are trying to get in new product lines to cater for modern tastes as well as keeping their traditional lines.

I am one of those people who has always used the local supermarkets for my lunches, until one day I decided to give The Cottage Bakery in Thame a try. I was really glad I did because I felt that it had more of a personal touch. Now I wished I had supported them sooner being a local family...

Always been a superb bakery. 30 years ago I worked nextdoor and their pork and apple baps were every morning's highlight. Passing through this morning I tried to buy a sausage roll, which was soon upgraded to sausage and bacon in a roll. It was superb and I think I could have bought everything else in the shop. I will stop more often to investigate their rather amazing range of sandwiches...
