Monkey Puzzle Thame — Restaurant in South Oxfordshire

Incredible service, fantastic atmosphere and a huge cake selection!!!

We are regular customers at Monkey Puzzle. Today we were served my Amelia who was polite, attentive and got our order to us quickly. Amelia always says hello and is very welcoming, as are all the staff there.

We love visiting the cafe. The garden is so beautiful and well maintained and there is plenty of space for all the customers. All the staff are welcoming and lovely with our children. There is a fantastic selection of cakes and drinks. We are always spoilt for choice. The added extra of the ice cream cart is a favourite with our children and very welcome.

The cafe is also a great spot in the cooler months, with its cosy inside that has lots of character.

I have a double buggy and there is a side door to the left of the building that the buggy fits through well. It can get in the main entrance too.

Not only does the cafe have food and drink but it sells local products - like candles, cards, soap and other special bits.

I absolutely adore Monkey Puzzle in Thame. It is one of my favourite cafes and the atmosphere is everything. Not only do they have amazing food and drinks and the staff is lovely, but the outside just is the perfect place to go work, read, and relax during spring and summer time. Even fall if you dont mind it being a bit chilly. You even have the coolest sounds outside, every time I go I hear kite birds calling which is so so unique. They have different pastry choices almost daily and have all be so delicious. They serve less heavy food, more snack/ light breakfast/brunches and have a plethora of lovely drink options. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area for a coffee and an amazing view! They also have very cute things like bags and cards for sale inside by the front door. Everything you could ask for for a perfect cafe!

What a wonderful cafe! After hearing lots of positive things about Monkey Puzzle, I finally managed to meet some friends there this week. As it was market day, I parked in Southern Road (Dorchester Place) car park, which had plenty of spaces available. On arrival at the cafe, staff were very friendly, my order was taken immediately and there was a nice selection of tasty looking cakes and cookies. I chose a chocolate cookie which was absolutely amazing and a latte... it was the best cookie I've tasted in a few years. I was told I could sit down and order would be brought to me, which it was. The garden at Monkey Puzzle is not what you would expect... it's large, laid out nicely, with several tables spaced well from each other. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing.
