Awful. Where do I start?
Firstly, we were a large group that had both pre-booked and pre-ordered. When we all arrived, a platter of bread and dips were brought to each table (four in total) including a table of two where two children were sat. Naturally, as no one had ordered these, we assumed they were complementary, but couldnāt flag down a waiter to check.
Incredibly, once the bill came, we found out they cost £30. What a scam.
Second, they tried to charge me extra for a vodka. The printed menu says Ā£4.50 whilst the receipt said Ā£5.50. I doubt most people even notice this so imagine how much extra is being paid by people who donāt inspect the bill.
Thirdly, the houmous is dreadful. I have no idea what they added to make it taste so bad but multiple people commented on how awful it was.
Fourth, I tried to pay for my food and drinks separately by card but was told no because āpeople are still eatingā. Of what relevance is it that people are still eating if Iām not and Iām not ordering anything else?
And fifth, as we were leaving, one of the men - I assume one of the owners - spoke to one of the young female waiting staff terribly. It was uncomfortable to see.
I wouldnāt recommend.
Edit: I donāt wish to email the owner directly, as per their request. All my thoughts are already above. However, in the interests of fairness, some in our group enjoyed their meals and would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited here for the first time to try and was disappointed, the guy who i presume was the owner just told us to wait in the entrance until a table was clear when we told him we had a booking. they clearly take on too many bookings then they can handle as lots of people were waiting. A younger lad had to apologise and sat us who later said we couldnāt order yet as the kitchen was too busy so we felt abliged to order a starter otherwise we couldnāt order which we didnāt even want. They had many gins on the menu but hardly any in stock the poor girl taking our order was only young and clearly hasnāt been trained to know what they sell so had to keep checking what there was and i still didnāt get the drink i wanted. When the food finally came it was over an hour later and portions were very small for the price, i know itās tapas and they are small but 4 king prawns for Ā£8 is a rip off! and the bbq ribs had virtually no meat on them so we just felt ripped off. they tasted good but not worth the price and the service and atmosphere doesnāt reflect on how much your paying it came to Ā£90 for the two of us with 3 tapas dishes each which they recommend. Youād think theyād do an offer 3 dishes for so much at certain times to make it more fair. I wonāt be coming back which is a shame as it always looks busy and a nice place but the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMed3 serves absolutely beautiful food, and thatās why we keep coming back. However, our experience has been consistently let down by how rushed we feel during our visits.
For our Valentineās meal, we were told upon arrival that we had only 1 hour and 30 minutes at our tableābefore we had even sat down. While I understand the need for time limits on busy nights, the way it was communicated felt unwelcoming. To add to this, we were given the wrong menus, and despite it being a special occasion, we were seated outside on the patio, where it was freezing. There was little effort to make the space more comfortable, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal.
Unfortunately, this isnāt the first time weāve felt pressured to hurry through our food. The staff were constantly hovering, making us feel like we needed to eat quickly and leave, rather than relax and enjoy our evening. Itās a real shame because the food is fantastic, and the restaurant has so much potential to offer a more enjoyable dining experience.
I hope Med3 considers adjusting its approach to service because with a little more focus on customer comfort, it could truly be an...
