Awful. Where do I start?
Firstly, we were a large group that had both pre-booked and pre-ordered. When we all arrived, a platter of bread and dips were brought to each table (four in total) including a table of two where two children were sat. Naturally, as no one had ordered these, we assumed they were complementary, but couldnât flag down a waiter to check.
Incredibly, once the bill came, we found out they cost ÂŁ30. What a scam.
Second, they tried to charge me extra for a vodka. The printed menu says ÂŁ4.50 whilst the receipt said ÂŁ5.50. I doubt most people even notice this so imagine how much extra is being paid by people who donât inspect the bill.
Thirdly, the houmous is dreadful. I have no idea what they added to make it taste so bad but multiple people commented on how awful it was.
Fourth, I tried to pay for my food and drinks separately by card but was told no because âpeople are still eatingâ. Of what relevance is it that people are still eating if Iâm not and Iâm not ordering anything else?
And fifth, as we were leaving, one of the men - I assume one of the owners - spoke to one of the young female waiting staff terribly. It was uncomfortable to see.
I wouldnât recommend.
Edit: I donât wish to email the owner directly, as per their request. All my thoughts are already above. However, in the interests of fairness, some in our group enjoyed their meals and would...
Read moreVisited here for the first time to try and was disappointed, the guy who i presume was the owner just told us to wait in the entrance until a table was clear when we told him we had a booking. they clearly take on too many bookings then they can handle as lots of people were waiting. A younger lad had to apologise and sat us who later said we couldnât order yet as the kitchen was too busy so we felt abliged to order a starter otherwise we couldnât order which we didnât even want. They had many gins on the menu but hardly any in stock the poor girl taking our order was only young and clearly hasnât been trained to know what they sell so had to keep checking what there was and i still didnât get the drink i wanted. When the food finally came it was over an hour later and portions were very small for the price, i know itâs tapas and they are small but 4 king prawns for ÂŁ8 is a rip off! and the bbq ribs had virtually no meat on them so we just felt ripped off. they tasted good but not worth the price and the service and atmosphere doesnât reflect on how much your paying it came to ÂŁ90 for the two of us with 3 tapas dishes each which they recommend. Youâd think theyâd do an offer 3 dishes for so much at certain times to make it more fair. I wonât be coming back which is a shame as it always looks busy and a nice place but the...
Read moreMed3 serves absolutely beautiful food, and thatâs why we keep coming back. However, our experience has been consistently let down by how rushed we feel during our visits.
For our Valentineâs meal, we were told upon arrival that we had only 1 hour and 30 minutes at our tableâbefore we had even sat down. While I understand the need for time limits on busy nights, the way it was communicated felt unwelcoming. To add to this, we were given the wrong menus, and despite it being a special occasion, we were seated outside on the patio, where it was freezing. There was little effort to make the space more comfortable, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal.
Unfortunately, this isnât the first time weâve felt pressured to hurry through our food. The staff were constantly hovering, making us feel like we needed to eat quickly and leave, rather than relax and enjoy our evening. Itâs a real shame because the food is fantastic, and the restaurant has so much potential to offer a more enjoyable dining experience.
I hope Med3 considers adjusting its approach to service because with a little more focus on customer comfort, it could truly be an...
