Highfield Fisheries — Restaurant in South Tyneside

Went for lunch and me and my mate both ordered chips, I wanted cheese on mine but the owner said he couldn't melt it even though any other place would do it easily (this is the second time this happened here).

I also struggled to understand much of what the owner said as English is clearly not his first language, he could have at least hired a native English speaker.

Furthermore my other mate ordered a kebab and when he got it there was grease soaking through the paper wrapping and down his arm. This kebab was also cold before we even left the shop. (My friend is also suffering from food poisoning atm)

Worst customer service ever money greedy. Over the thirty years since a child popped in here half dozen times. Never has the food been nice. Last time I was there a moment of madness . I fancied a kebab, can't go wrong can you. It came after asking for garlic sauce with icey cold sauce. This was a really cold day. The kebab was cold by the time I sat in the bus stop outside. Food as always been good in the past but tonight I ordered X2 small fish and chips plus a bag of chips and the quality of the chips were awful they must have been reheated up so many times they were hard as anything out of the bag of chips and the 2 small portions of chips if I got 50p worth of chips I cud I was lucky when you pay £3 for a bag of chips you would expect them to be of good quality so you could...
