Cricketers Arms — Restaurant in Southampton

Don't book a wedding reception here ! What a complete sham , i booked for the whole day and evening with extra for booking till late , we were told that we could not go in early to decorate hall and that we could not get into the hall untill 5 pm even though we wld get there for about 4ish and this was because they decided to have the football on big screen in the hall and that they wld do the hall up for me , well we did not get into the hall till 6.30 and all my decoration's i had bought and had decided where to have them were not done there was a few balloons up not even with the gas we bought for them , the wedding cake was delivered in the morning and had been left in the hall all day even when it was so hot and with the punters watch football the cake was meant to be cut up by the staff never got done first nor last we never got our drinks handed out for toasts till we decided tht waiting for 2 hours was just a joke so did that ourselves n, not even half my food was put out they went against my table plan for the food and found out the next day she kept it for a christening party the next day and with decorations tht i had bought for my day . We booked hall till 12.30 but because the landlady had a hang over from the night before shut the wedding down at 10 , we never got our money offered back for the hours we never had the hall not even a sorry , i can only now tell my story as was so upset and still am as this was meant to be our dream day and it was not . I should start by saying that I went here on a Tuesday afternoon so it was super quiet when I was here. I only went because my car was in the garage next door and I decided to wait for it instead of walking home. However, I do not regret my decision to get a drink and sit out in the sun because the barmaid was friendly and prompt with my order. She also made an effort to make sure I was satisfied with my drink. I didn't see much of the inside because as I said earlier, I took my Pepsi outside to drink, but from what I saw it looked quite cosy and very clean. I saw other reviews that complained about the plastic cups; however I would like to add that my drink was served in a proper glass. They only serve drinks in plastic cups after 10pm (which makes sense because the only other time I have been here was on a Friday or Saturday evening and it was full of...

The cricketers used to be called The Bridge Inn very friendly place. The bar staff very welcoming and pub has a good atmosphere and selection of beers and largers, wines and spirits. They also have a open mic night every other Sunday with good musicians am well impressed with this as it seems to me live music with could become a thing of the past, but let's hope not. The pub has good seating area outside plus a car park at the back. The pub also has a beautiful function room which can accommodate a large number of people highly recommended for weddings, anniversary, birthdays in fact any celebration you can think of. You also can vape inside the pub so long as its not not those dragon vapes. I highly recommend the pub for single people I was totally respected by the regulars. Shall...
