Just returned from Lazeez and currently cleansing my pallet with a Lidl choc ice. We paid £29 for 2 thalis, 1 lamb, 1 chicken. Waited a long time to be served. Restaurant seemed understaffed and young waiter was overworked. When we were eventually given some food about an hour after we arrived, it was presented reasonably well. However wife thought the food tasted like something you'd eat at home. I think this was too kind. My wife makes way tastier food than this. Portions were quite small which in this case was probably for the best, as food was pretty bland. Perhaps they should offer either a garlic/peshwari nan with thalis just to add a bit of flavour? Decor is looking a bit tired already, and atmosphere is pretty non-existent. We were sat by the obstructed fire exit (pretty sure that's illegal BTW), with a view of neglected back garden. When a staff member asked how the food was we politely told them. Next time we'll stick with Corainder Lounge. It might be a bit further to travel but at least it's worth leaving...

Absolutely delighted with my dining experience at Lazeez Southampton! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. The service was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

The food itself was fantastic! The Chicken Tikka was perfectly spiced and juicy, a great start to the meal. The Dal Makhni had a rich, creamy flavor that tasted authentic and comforting, while the Paneer Butter Masala was just the right balance of spice and smoothness—absolutely delicious! The naan was soft and fluffy, the perfect companion to soak up all the flavorful sauces.

Overall, Lazeez is a must-visit for anyone in Southampton looking for great Indian food and warm...

Have walked past many times and thought this looked like a nice place to eat. .. but sadly very underwhelming. The naan bread was very nice. , but the rest of the food was very forgettable. Staff were polite but lacking any hospitality, in fact didn't approach us once during the whole time apart from taking the order. I noticed that other customers were just getting up and paying at the end of their meal, so we did the same. Very underwhelming experience, food not bad but no wow factor. Kitchen is visible as you go to use the bathroom....I purposely did not look in the kitchen too much but what I did see was a very untidy scene. Not very reassuring to be honest.
