Replying to @kuku Leonardo Hotel - 📍Southampton - 20 Minutes easy drive from the park - No direct parking but car park opposite - Restaurant in the hotel which was pricey, i’d get dinner at a nearby mcdonalds or other restaurant. - Breakfast included - Kids cinema room on the 1st floor - City centre so lots of shops around - Travel cots provided It really is only somewhere to get your head down so doesnt have to be fancy or pricey :) @Paultons Park @Peppa Pig #fyp #parentsoftiktok #peppapigworld #toddlersoftiktok #paultonspark #peppapigworld #pregancytiktok #motherhoodunplugged #hotelreview

We stayed here as a family of 4 visiting Paultons Park for a weekend break. Not really sure why this hotel would be good for a family as parking is non existent. This is mentioned on the website however this hotel is literally based on what feels like a huge roundabout. On a busy junction. Universities close by so don’t expect a peaceful nights sleep, even on the 5th floor, people on streets making noise throughout the night. Not much space in hotel apart from your own room for children to wonder around or maybe go for a walk, no grounds either. Room was disappointing. Curtains hanging off, bath plug too small for the bath so bathtime didn’t go down well. They advertise a luxurious hotel experience well this is not one. Didn’t feel very clean, mould in the bathroom and leaking toilet. God forbid you drop something under the bed and then find all kinds of things left from previous visitors. Drinks in the bar was a lovely overall experience. Went fir dinner in the restaurant only to be greeted by the manager with a message it will be a 40min wait as it’s very busy now. That’s exactly what you want to hear when you come for dinner with your children. Not best choice for kids either. Hotdog dish was kids was just ridiculous never seen a hotdog bun so big. Totally unnecessary. Pizza undercooked. Our waitress also same lady who worked in a bar very lovely and provided girls with pens and colouring. Thank you! Breakfast staff overall good but looked worried many times especially when I asked for poached eggs the waiter didn’t seem ti understand what I was asking. So had to check and then wait a bit if time before these arrived. Coffee in rooms awful would be nice to see a coffee machine where guests might be able to access coffee during other times. Positives the reception gentleman who checked us in and gave advise on parking absolutely brilliant! You deserve to work in 5* hotels! Shop in the reception area also a nice touch. Rooms need a lot of work! If advertising for families there should be more options to accommodate kids and families as in my eyes just not enough. Food/drinks/board games in the bar little things would make a big difference. Rooms need to be checked with some quality control. It’s just not good enough especially when advertising luxurious stays.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Hotel Southampton, and I cannot speak highly enough of the outstanding service provided by Duty Manager Morita. From the moment we checked in, Morita went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional.Upon arrival, Morita kindly upgraded our room to an executive suite, which added an extra level of comfort and luxury to our stay. While we did opt to pay for the upgrade, Morita's gesture truly made our experience unforgettable.Throughout our stay, the room was meticulously cleaned daily, and we were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary water, Pepsi, biscuits, and even coffee for the espresso machine in the room. These thoughtful touches did not go unnoticed and contributed to our overall comfort and enjoyment. What truly stood out, however, was Morita's willingness to go the extra mile to make our stay special. When I mentioned that it was my partner's birthday and I wanted to surprise them, Morita enthusiastically offered to help decorate the room. The surprise was a huge success, thanks in large part to Morita's assistance and attention to detail.Overall, our experience at the Leonardo Hotel Southampton was nothing short of fantastic, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Duty Manager Morita. Their professionalism, generosity, and dedication to ensuring guests have a memorable stay truly set this hotel apart. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I look forward to returning in the future. Thank you, Morita, and the entire team at Leonardo Hotel Southampton, for making our stay so incredibly comfortable and memorable.

The hotel has no car parking of its own, and is in the middle of a roundabout, so very limited drop off facilities, which could only accommodate about 2.5 cars! When I came to pick up the rest of our group (including one family member with mobility difficulties) at the end of the stay I couldn’t even get to this drop off area as a lorry was delivering toilet paper for the hotel. ||There is parking within 5 min walk of the hotel, but it does therefore add to the cost of your stay, so be aware. One university car park was amongst those recommended but the directions to it given by the hotel tell you to go through a bus gate, which is unauthorised. ||The lobby and bar area feels 4 star hotel. There can be long waits for one of the three lifts though at busy times though.||Check in was poor. Friendly staff doing their best under conditions that were not their doing, but rooms not available despite arriving after the check in time. We were given vouchers for a hot drink/soft drink and told to sit in the bar area and wait. Took about an extra hour for the rooms to become ready.||The room itself is standard sort of hotel room. Ours had a king bed and a single. Lighting around the door/wardrobe/luggage rack was poor. Bed was fine, but unacceptable there was no mattress or pillow protectors, and since the beds are made in that lazy style where the end of the flat bottom sheet by the headboard is not tucked in, this can move during the night and you end up with some of you sleeping on the stained mattress. Only three pillows are provided for the double bed, thankfully we had the extra single so did have the extra pillow available.||The bathroom was dated and the shower unacceptable. Good temperature, but extremely poor flow. Thin one ply toilet paper only. And the bin not by the toilet. ||Breakfast is your standard hotel buffet breakfast. Nothing fancy and no pancakes or waffles. The staff can’t cope with the demand and they don’t regularly help you find tables, don’t keep food topped up fast enough and didn’t notice for over 20min that a coffee machine had stopped working. The location of the toasting area makes it all seem very cluttered and hard to navigate. It was also very busy. The size of the area is not sufficient for the size of the hotel. Eco hotel, so no tubs of jam etc.., only pump pots, so the jam is slightly watered down to facilitate that. Absolutely no marmalade on offer! Gluten free cereal and toast section available, with its own toaster. Plus soya and oat milk. No labelling of other food to identify if any of the 14 main allergens were contained in them. ||Free WiFi easy to connect to and decent speeds.||Overall other than an improved lobby area and free WiFi this hotel is pretty equivalent to a Premier Inn, and I would only rate it 3 star. I would not stay again if I...

Tragic. Literally the worst hotel experience I have ever had. EVER . Sorry to some of the very pleasant and hard working people. You were great. This isn’t for you. Double charged, and looks like they’re keeping both payments totalling nearly 600 pounds for a 1 night stay,- the gold leaf truffles were clearly missing from my pillow. Not a single timeline to provide an update has been kept and they didn’t even escalate my request for nearly 2 business days. One of the senior team members almost tried to start an argument with me over having one reservation number and two rooms, I think she could have even been the manager, and was just sort of nasty to anyone presenting her with even the slightest complication, in this case likely caused by her total and complete tiredness and inability to maintain focus any more. Potentially overworked but clearly past a point where this wasn’t destined to be everyone else’s problem and just made for a really unprofessional and hostile “welcome” after a morning of travelling. Almost total Indifference to me being double charged. Had a staff member in the bar/restaurant explain to me that my hot dog didn’t come with a bun because it was gourmet.🫣Cleanliness in common areas very poor and lobby bathroom was appalling. Air conditioning did not work in either room and carpets stained and shabby looking. Room window permanently slightly ajar, to make sure you don’t miss any exciting 3 am news updates such as car backfires or drunken roaring from people making an infinitely better use of their night than you will be, trying to sleep. Breakfast service was exciting! Partially raw sausages mixed with cooked ones, for a fun and soggy pot luck experience to create memories to last a life time. All self served to an ice cold plate from a plate warmer that no one’s remembered to turn on. Stayed here several times previously, and I am very sad to see the near total collapse of standards here, they just let the phone ring out a lot which is always a very strong indicator of buy in from a team. I doubt very much my double charge issue will be resolved directly, but this review had to happen. Sufficed to say I won’t be back, but hope the team here can rally and get the support they need to raise standards back up as there are some very hard working and good intentioned individuals including my restaurant server who despite the issue with my meal was very kind and lovely and clearly not being supported enough...
